The Shijou Saikyou no Teishi(World's Strongest Disciple): Kenichi Thread

Except that once Capcom announced they weren’t making any more fighters, most of the Street Fighter team jumped ship to Sammy/Game Republic.

CFE was a neat, solid fighter. I don’t care what anyone says.

It was’ent “GRREAT”, but not awful either.

Ummmm i think not.

One example why: Final Fight StreetWise ring a bell? (It sucked!).

It looks like it sucks. If the game has super jump then it would good.

Meh, my better judgment tells me not to pass judgment on this yet. I don’t have much hope, but you never know, maybe it’ll be good.

Although I have to agree, the character designs shown on that page are as boring and uninteresting as any character designs I’ve ever seen.

It’s to early to say anything about, but it ain’t looking that nice. If it ends up getting Daigo as a hidden character or something like that I’ll get it anyways.

It’s a new fighting game so what the hell.I’m addicted.

If capcom makes new fighters, it aint going to be 2D:arazz:

I never knew CAPCOM was capable of makin new fighters. I was hopin for SF3 Collection or maybe Super Turbo Champion Street Edition Fighter

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned or even if this is what you meant but it’s definately a PS2 game.

Ah, I started digging around and looked it up, found out it was a PS2 game so I edited most of my post before, ack… before I was talking about the possibility of being a PS3, Xbox 360 or a Wii game, think I deleted most of my post before just as you posted or something, oops… don’t know about Kenichi but I sure am not History’s Strongest Internet Poster…

My PS2 can play Japanese games so I’m good. :nunchuck:

Even though the blond chick looks unbelievably slutty (Big Boobs+spandex=fanboy alert!), this game might be okay. We wouldn’t know how good/bad this game is until we see some gameplay.

I’d hope not, since I don’t recall ever seeing a dragon punch in the manga. Also, no fireballs.

(At least Goku had done stuff like that in Dragonball Z.)

EA down 31%:

Capcom up 400%:

Figures were reflecting the late 2005 period which was a recorded slump at the time for the entire electronic entertainment industry.

Why did Capcom pull a profit? Resident Evil. Once again: Capcom knows where the money is. Street Fighter, it ain’t.

Capcom’s tried to deal with their lack of fighter developers before and they’ve paid for it every step along the way. They’ve made dream fighters to train developers. In these games they’ve learned to tweak to balance(was CFJ not balanced?) and they still have sprite artists to make characters(that loli girl from CFJ). Can we stop expecting Capcom to do another SF3(losing money on a game that’ll please only a niche crowd)? Also, let’s stop acting like we know the meaning behind the SF rights being sold to Cap USA and the repurcussions of Cap USA owning the rights because none of us do. Cap USA having the rights to SF could just be some financial manuever intended to save the company money, it’s very possible that Cap JP could just scoop the license back up when the time is right.

I’d disagree with you if Capcom hadn’t decided Clover Studios was going to be dissolved(promting the two heads of Clover to leave Capcom altogether).

please pull losses up for the following companies:
Konami, Blizzard, Jamdat (which is a division of EA iirc), Atlus, Nintendo, Naughty Dog, Rare, Valve, and these are at the top of my head. Just because you cite EA making a loss doesn’t mean 50% of game companies didn’t pull a net profit, even if it was 5 dollars. Not only that, I only see a 31% profit loss, not that EA is actually in the hole anywhere. citing only one example means shit, especially when that example SUCKS.

Late 2005 most companies took it hard. It was a huge sales slump. Things have stepped up since then, but it was a shocker period. Some made lower profit (but still profit). Some made massive losses.

Plenty more sites detailing the same things. Google if you’re really interested.

And I shouldn’t need to point out that most of these companies can take a hit of a few million or more bucks and keep on kicking. It takes more than that to kill of a corporate in this day and age. A 1-2 quarter loss means nothing these days. Most people budget it in to happen at least once every few years.

you realize stock price is not directly correlated to profits, right?

just because a few stocks plummeted, does not mean these companies aren’t raking in money. unless you somehow changed your point, tons of companies pulled a profit in 2k5’s fiscal year. not to mention you are only accounting for publicly traded companies.

Yea Final Fight Streetwise was a piece of a shit and so was Maximo,Megaman Network Tansmissions,P.N.03 and Capcom Fighting Evolution but I have such respect for Capcom…I bought them anyway!!!

niggas talkin about stocks and fiscal years? mod, time to move this thread to “who gives a fuck”
