you took the words outta meh mouth, but anyway back to topic, it looks like a rival schools-esque game thats cell shaded with girls wearing tight spandex and kids in high school uniforms shoryukening.
i doubt itll probaly be any good though, Ive been thinking of capcoms 3D fighting games and there really arent that many good ones…
I’m not sure if I’ll get this. The char design is pretty tame. Although, I’ve only seen 3 characters, so there still might be some characters I like the look of.
It’s cell shaded and based on an anime, so it becomes obvious that realism is not paramount. Maybe this means faster gameplay with quick animation. But still, it’s probably 3D for a reason. Side-stepping, which means I’ll have to pass. I have Tekken/Soul Calibur for that.
The manga of Kenichi has fighting that is a mix of realistic and fantasy. Kenichi is taught moves that are real, but at the same time you’ve got exagerated effects that are much closer to a kung fu movie than a kung fu match.
One page will have Kenichi in a relatively down to earth fight, while another will have Miu taking out three people by jumping from one to the next. Takeda only hits someone as you’d expect a boxer to do, while Sakaki launches them through a shop wall into the street.
Though there is a pattern to the unreality. Those of the dojo are of the more comic exagerated degrees, excepting Kenichi who had just joined. Most of the students are on a slightly more realistic level, excepting Miu who was raised at the dojo. And the higher you go in Ragnarok’s ranks, the more unrealistic you start to get. And of course comic effect causes plenty itself.
Which, for a game, means who knows what.
If a company other than Capcom was making this it could be exactly the same and most of you prolly wouldn’t give a shit. [/onlyhalfserious]
