The SFV Lounge: MUTINY!

I’m still alive everybody

Here’s how I approach it.

SFV’s frame data doesn’t make sense from a visual standpoint, but it is very homogenized. You won’t know what is and isn’t safe by looking, but you can get an idea based on what it is. Example:

Karin s.hk: -4 oB/+2oH
Ken s.hk: -4oB/+3 oH
Laura s.hk: -4oB/+2 oH

^Besides Kens data on hit, that is me guessing the advantage of those moves. They’re all fairly far reaching mid hitting CC normals, and I know you’re not really supposed to combo off them without a CC. I also assume they’re positive on hit like most attacks. I also know you’re supposed to space them. Gonna actually verify that now and:

Karin s.hk: -4 oB/0 oH
Ken s.hk: -4oB/+3 oH
Laura s.hk: -4oB/+1 oH

Was I 100% correct? No, but I was pretty damn close.

SFV is 40+ characters now, but the overwhelming majority of shit in the game isn’t unique. When I do find something unique, then I bother committing it to memory.

Edit: My ideal roster size would be somewhere between 20-25 characters, but it really depends on how unique everyone is. What I will say is that 40 is way too fucking many.

Grandblue patches are better for the games over all health but too late and people just see nerfs and that doesn’t make anyone want to play.

This should have been the 1st big patch.

Holy shit, that makes total sense. I watch a decent amount of SFV and every match looks really, really similar, regardless who’s playing or the MU. I mean, every game is going to have “moments” in each match, but SFV is so homogenous that it starts to really run into one blob.

I don’t watch SFV. Just doesn’t make it for me, though I say that as someone who really doesn’t watch streams at all.

I like Brian_F and will check his stream out, plus I like the “diago translated” stuff. But I watch those more to hear what they’re saying then what they’re playing.

Ah yes, I found Brain F recently too

And he also has a Video about SFV defence force, where I asked myself during the entire video.
WHEN YOU DON’T LIKE THIS GAME EVEN A LITTLE BIT. WHY DO YOU KEEP PLAYING IT YOU GOD FORSAKEN MORON?!

I’m not playing something I don’t like. I was the smart black kid in school. I’m used to being derided. I play what I want. Fuck what anyone else thinks.

My friend who is a smasher says that fighting games should have at least 70 characters. Anything less than that is not worth buying.

Idk if any of you watched this. Its really good

Bruh.

Wait, Smash already got to 70!?

I’m in the camp that does not really care how many characters the roster has if my favourite is added.

Selfish maybe, but at least I ain’t lying.

Your friend is not worth keeping around. Sorry, man.

Google says smash has 74 not sure if that’s with the DLC. I don’t even think I’d want that in a versus game.

Including the echo fighters and counting Pokémon Trainer as three different characters, Smash Ultimate has 76 characters for its base roster.

With DLC, it will be 88 by the end of the second Fighters pass.

There’s 76 characters in smash and there’s still another season’s worth of characters to come. Lol

Holy fuck 88 characters? How is it possible to balance them. And how is it possible to learn all the matchups if u play the game competitively??

Or do smashers just smash the buttons as fast as possible to win a game?

Damn, @Pertho would have been so proud of my post.
