Damnit assholes, now I wanna play SFV, but I only have it on PS4.
So what’s the issue?
It runs terribly on a PS4, especially online… I should add that i haven’t checked since like May, but I was not happy when I did.
Oh. It runs fine on PC. As a bad player I can’t really detect what’s good and bad about it as a version, but I will say there’s a reason I keep it on 5 bar connections only.
The crossplay is sketchy after multiple netcode patches from Capcom/the community

This Black Friday I plan on buying a second monitor for my laptop, but I also want to use it so I can game on PS4 more when the tv is taken (we only have 1).
Hopefully I’ll have a job by then lol

Its not even just crossplay. Last time i played, i selected PS4 matches only and it took like 20 minutes to find a match and out of the 5 sets i was able to play, only like two of them were playable.
The netcode was never great, but before i could find matches every two minutes with PS4 only and had better quality matches to boot.
Yeah I think they narrowed the radius of people you could match with. Doctrine was complaining about not being able to watch with west coast anymore.
Because Capcom will try anything but a ping/region filter.

My new monitor for my laptop just came in. At 144Hz, I realised my laptop can run more than I thought. It’s just that the display was so ass that the tearing literally made everything look like 20fps.

Bro, I had a laptop that couldn’t run Google Chrome and MS Paint without severe lagging on everything and it wasn’t as bad as this.

YOu know. I’m going to try it again. I was having some internet issues around that time as well. Other games ran fine, but maybe it was just a bad night. I do know about the radiused connection but it seemed like there may have been more to it… I’m down in the ultra bronze/silver leagues so there should be lots of people to play with. I just chalked it up to their netcode (which has been worse after the update), but yeah, maybe it’s worth another shot. I do miss the game.
You sound like me, I had to pretty much argue with mine to cancel a ps5 preorder last week that was going to total almost 800. Like I want one eventually but not that bad lol.

Right? Turns out I can run Batman Arkham Knight at highest settings at a stable 60-90. Amazing.

Yeah, there’s nothing right now to make me buy a PS5. It’s not like a good looking MVC4 is a launch title or something. Strive is coming to PS4 anyway so i don’t care too much.
I’m also apprehensive because now the next Doom game may not even come out on it, so I may just get a PC eventually. I’ll have to see.
