The Rival Schools/Justice Gakuen/Project Justice storyline thread!

Can I suggest that the official position of the boards about snowstorm is that she’s absolutely nuts?

The “Spirit of Justice” means about as much as the phrase “Blast Processing”. If the “Spirit of Justice” was so great, Kim Kaphwan would be able to kill anything that moves.

Instantly.

Moving on…

Speaking of SNK characters, who else thinks that Roy Bromwell is Terry Bogard in disguise…?

Touchdown = Power Wave
(rushing punch) = Burn Knuckle
Super Touchdown = Power Geyser
And he has a super in PJ that acts like Terry’s Overheat Geyser.

 regarding the Kim example. And Demon Hyo kinda sounds like he’s saying “Kim sucks” during one of his supers in PJ.

Yeah, it’s pretty obvious that Roy is a Terry clone. Outfit suggests that as well (jeans, white shit, red vest…now all Roy needs is a ballcap :stuck_out_tongue: ). Plus, both of them have blonde girlfriends (Blue Mary and Tiffany)!

he’s shoulder tackle … c.hp

MENTAL STRENGTH

guess who got the best mental strength and morale??

meaning …is like you are running for 8 laps , later on you prefer walking instead oj jogging , NOW you ask yourself , why this happen …ANSWER , is my brain told me to walk instead of running , i felt tired and lazy if i resume running …

example 2 , when you are in a buffet , you eat eat eat eat and eat , suddenly you don’t feel like eating again …why ??? again is your brain stopping you , because of the endurance it can’t take on …

so who had the best mental strength in capcom fighting characters ?? i’m not saying who is the more intelectual .

**ANSWER : **

*BATSU ICHIMONJI *

2nd …Ryu ??

why ?..if you got superb mental strength , you acquired …**THE BURNING SPIRIT **

ryu : " i can see your eyes burning , burning spirit in your eyes , we’ll meet in another match again .that moves of yours are sharp anyway and i’ll be careful too . "

hayato : " I KNOW IT !! YOU’RE THE FAKE ONE !! THE REAL BATSU’S EYE ARE ALWAYS BURNING !! UNLIKE YOUR’S !! IT ISN’T !! WHO ARE YOU !! "

It’d probably be better said that Batsu has the most perserverance of all Capcom fighters, in this case, too much.

A less kinder way to say it is that he’s stubborn and bull-headed. Not surprising considering his archetype…

However, if you check his RS ending, he isn’t the most intelligent character, as he is constantly flunking his tests and the only thing he’s good at really is P.E.

We all knew guys like that in High School though…

BTW, don’t get me wrong, Batsu’s one of my favorite RS characters. He’s also a great contrast to Kyosuke, who is very calm and intelligent, but could be considered a sissy by some. You can’t be a manly man and a bishonen at the same time…

edge yamada is an intelligent person , but not a learned man …

edge yamada is a person that always talkes the walk all the time … he fear ghost …

and he is the character that mostly unserious any time …

edit : back to the subject of mental strength …!!

this include ryu !! ^^!

now this the part about kyosuke and batsu …the differences …

kyosuke is weak … he always don’t work which mostly need alot hard work , but he never insist to if help is needed … IMo

here , he can be good in some sports , mostly badminton , he’s pro at it and beat batsu … badminton is agme that needs more with brain and tactics …

and what happen was , Kinzan( one of the supporting character in Gorin HS ) once encouraged Kyosuke to join Sumo Club insisting that Kyosuke had excellent potential, but Kyosuke turned down the offer. (Kinzan’s suggestion that he had to first gain 30 kg weight might also have influenced his decision…)

LOL … kyosuke got to ate bowls of sumo stews !!

INSIDE THE THINK TANK !! Kyosuke’s chess style is very tight and secure. Observing the board position early on, unless he is confident of victory, he will aim for stalemate. This makes it almost impossible for even a better player to beat him outright, and those who take risks in their attempt to beat him often end up losing instead.

When Kyosuke plays Rock, Paper & Scissors, he tells you in advance which sign he will be using. However he need not be telling the truth which is an example of Kyosuke’s psychological warfare

MY GOODNESS !! REMEMBER TERRENCE D’ARBY ???

for batsu ! hey ! the X-shaped scar on Batsu’s forehead has been with him since childhood. Batsu was very energetic even as a child, and so used to injure himself frequently as he ran everywhere .The forehead scar was from banging his head (though it’s uncertain whether this relates in any way to his intellectual limitations).

1st evidence being a strong

Batsu’s morning start follows exactly the same sequence almost EVERY school day. The alarm clock goes off and he doesn’t hear it. Shizuku wakes him up and he falls asleep again. Then suddenly he realizes that he’ll be late and from here on tries to make up for lost time by rushing to school and eating breakfast as he runs but later further slowed down by leaving his lunchbox at home and having to turn round to get it . As he arrives at school just in time , he usually out of breath. The only variation is when he forgets his school bag as well… and you know he had to return home again …

EDUCATION !! for batsu ! Well Hinata and Kyosuke help Batsu with his studying but sometimes makes it more confusing for him, particularly when Hinata goes off on a tangent to discuss subject material with Kyosuke herself and leaves Batsu in the middle of nowhere . Batsu himself believes it might be more helpful if only one person helped him study instead of two… which is true , literally , and he make it to graduate ! which TAS made him the principal of taiyo in the future , and that raizo’s dream having his son as an educationist …

ummm…He also tried baking his own cake for sale at the School Festival, which is his favourite cake ,cheese cake , but it came out looking like “weird white bricks” which were removed from sale for health and safety reasons .

never know that batsu is quite good at fighting video games despite comparative unfamiliarity and he is not a regular player like edge. However, when he performs techniques, he has a habit of shouting out the accompanying dialogue to the technique himself as though it will make the technique stronger (Batsu: "Hisshou… Oraoraoraoraoraoraora… YAHOO!!! )

jotaro kujo : " THAT"S MY STAR PLATINUM’S LINE !!! MY COMMON FAVOURITE LINE !! GOD DAMN IT SOL BADGUY ALSO HAD MY YARE YARE DAZE TOO !!"

ok about batsu’s spirit ! The School Festival is Batsu’s favorite school event of the year. With great burning spirit he looks forward to this time each year when everyone can work together, and when so many people (including previous graduates and visitors from other schools) gather at campus! The wide selection of available snack food also plays a part in his enthusiasm

in some event ! Batsu disapproves of people who do not participate in competition due to fear of losing.

this another evidence that batsu has high spirit

Does Batsu have a rival, like a Ken to his Ryu?

I always thought that he had a rivalry with Roy from Pacific. Which pretty much mirrors Ryu & Ken, except it’s more like Ryu vs. Terry Bogard… which isn’t really a true rivalry, but one hell of a fight!

well yes roy … for fans , and in the Gorin Sports event too ! where batsu is pulling roy’s lips ! remember …

anyway he don’t have rival … but in fighting kurow mostly is his arch-enemy …

batsu seem not to have rival … roy’s racism make batsu and roy a rival , but now no … longer

THE MEANING OF PROJECT JUSTICE

PROJECT JUSTICE , from snowstorm

Following RS1, it was time to take the education scheme to the next level, for if the moral condition of society as a whole is to be improved genuinely and lastingly, all of the new generation must be educated and inspired with idealism rather than just the super-elite of Justice HS. If each person takes care of his or her own heart, the problems of the world will take care of themselves. Hence the launch of Project Justice (lit. trans. Private Burning Justice Alliance, ‘Private’ referring to private-owned schools).

Project Justice is a systematic coalition founded by Justice HS aiming to bring together as many schools as possible under the same educational goal. What it offers to each school is the opportunity to incorporate educational resources, methods and activities of other involved schools into its own function, and all it requires is that each school is prepared to volunteer the same of its own. The great financial power and academic renown of Justice HS alone makes this idea very attractive to other schools, and as more schools join in, the scheme gains more momentum. This also leads to many more inter-school events than previously, adding to the excitement of school life. For example, the Taiyo-Pacific Battle has evolved from a simple contest between students of Taiyo HS and Pacific HS into a much more large-scale and exciting contest between students from the various local schools choosing individually to ally with either the Taiyo or Pacific side (ie. different students from the same school may choose to ally with different sides^^), producing an additional competition between Taiyo and Pacific in rounding up external supporters! As for the Gorin Festival, it has been a multi-school event even before Project Justice (for 5 years it has been inviting guest competitors from other local schools to all compete for the annual trophy of “Best Athletic School”), but now it can invite even more schools and run on greater scale and publicity using the newly built Gorin Dome.

One of the most notable subsystems brought into being with Project Justice is the innovative Student Teaching Program, an optional scheme which allows students to also do some teaching (typically in schools other than their own). One feature of Project Justice is to train interested students to become teachers (so that the cause can be proliferated), and by students involved in teaching at the same time as they are learning, their awareness of the education system becomes highly increased. (This is also not alien to Gorin students as the Gorin system already involves a similar routine in sports coaching within their own school, indeed the inspiration for this idea might have come from them.) It appears overall that the Student Teaching Program has been well-received by students themselves. (Mari is one student who has enrolled in the program^^)

by looking it , as looking the book of the cover , so this is how snowstorm was possessed and obsessed …

I’m playing RS1 right now and I want to bring up a subject that I’ve always wondered about this game.

Was Rival Schools an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Sakura or was Sakura put in Rival Schools to make it more popular?

Also interesting is that Akira and Tiffany are both rejected Street Fighter designs. Akira was almost Sakura and Tiffany was almost Dudley I think.

sakura was in rs series because capcom want her to in there to cash in on the popularity of Sakura and make rival schools more popular .

the 2nd 1 … eer you know boman , roy and tiffany was almost dudley …

akira …was original … actually akira’s profile and her activity in evo series make her extra-popular … if daigo … daigo was popular in RS2

i though hinata is a sakura clone you see

Whoops, I temporarily forgot about Hinata.

What year are most of the cast of the RS series in Project Justice? Do you think that if they made an RS3 they would have graduated by then?

(Crazy thought that a company would actually age its characters…)

Unlike SNK, Capcom actually does age it’s characters (somewhat).

All the students in RS are second-year students in PJ except for Kurow, Momo and Daigo (Kurow and Momo are first-year, Daigo is a third-year student). That means yes, most of the cast would graduate after a theoretical RS3. That means if there is an RS3, it would either wrap up the series or introduce a whole new set of characters to continue it. Or you could keep the RS name and have the existing characters battle through their college years. :stuck_out_tongue:

Although, Daigo’s been stuck as a third year student since RS1… :bluu:

oh it was the year 1999 according to TAS

Interesting how the RS gang ages, yet Sakura doesn’t…

Think about it. If SFA2 took place about 5 years before SF2 (which took place in 1992) then Sakura would be age 16 in 1987.

Rival Schools takes place in 1997, so Sakura should be 26 years old and way out of high school. Yet, she fights for Tamagawa Minami High.

BTW, this would make Sakura 33 years old now in 2004…

Also, most of the cast of RS1 would be 23 now (same age as I am.) Momo & Kurow would be 22 and Daigo would be in his mid-twenties.

Props to Capcom for actually aging some of it’s characters, but they’re still giving Mega Man a little kid voice. (Okay, I know he’s a kid robot, but can’t he get a puberty upgrade at least?)

do you remember astro boy , there that’s megaman no 2 !!

RS1 in 1997? Where did you get that date, BBC? As far as I know, there hasn’t been firm evidence on what year the games take place.

rs1 take place in the year 1998 , 1997 is the release date …

Yeah, what he said.

rival schools should be related to SF3 3rd strike …which is a fan’s dream …

seeing , yun yang elena ibuki sean makoto …Q
