Now that I think about it, Kurow wasn’t really controlling Daigo, instead Daigo was acting like he was controlled in order to figure out what Kurow was up to.
And Akira didn’t actually “defeat” Daigo, more like smacked him around enough for him to “come to his senses”.

I think you’re confusing Daigo with Hyo. Daigo really was controlled, considering the bad ending has Gedo accidentally friggin’ KILLING the guy while trying to smack him back to his senses…
So we couldn’t say that Daigo was really beaten by Akira. Daigo is well respected in RS Universe that everyone fears him.
He is actually pretty humble and doesn’t look for fights, but when he fights… he becomes a literal beast hehehe.

Yeah, I probably was confusing Daigo with Hyo. I haven’t played the game in so long as the only copy I had access to was at the Sac State arcade, and they took that out…

So, what do all of you think the odds are of there being a Rival Schools 3? (While Evolution was really RS2, I consider it more like RS: Champion Edition or something…)
BTW: If Dreamwave’s Mega Man title is any indication, I don’t think I want to read their Rival Schools comic. I’ll probably buy it anyway because I want to support Capcom and RS, but that doesn’t mean I have to read it…

1st …in rs2 , the darkside society org can send more elite to capture kurow and destroy Justice HS and take over the city by Brainwashing…
but 1 thing…this would be DAMN BORING … same story … deception , misunderstood and brainwashing… capcom has this idea , but is gonna be boring … which is still the same as RS2 sequel … nothing changed …
2nd … this 1 unique … But only related to Gedo HS only … which is everyone’s favourite school , gangsta school …so in this sequel , daigos kazama’s arch-enemy STRIKES back …the Kaze no bozoku ! the old gang society that took over gedo city long ago and was dispersed by daigo and his new group , the gedo gang … and now they are stronger then ever

I think SF the comic is so good because Studio Udon being new in the Comics Field is starting out with one Comic and not a lot of Titles. Still, I wish Capcom withheld other properties like Megaman until Studio Udon was ready to tackle them.
Yeah, Dreamwave is sure as heck messing up Capcom Titles. If you think Megaman is bad, in last month’s issue they showed a Preview of Megaman X. X and Zero Time Travel back in time because they need Dr. Light’s help. WHAT THE… Why would Robots of the Future need a Scientist from the past? Megaman X 6 shows that Dr. Light never met Zero and doesn’t know him.
And what about Devil May Cry? After seeing the Preview, I was a bit scared that the coolness of the comic would be ruined with endless Captions that seriously mess up the Action, but that wasn’t the Case. It was messed up by Dante talking WAAAAY to much to an insect Demon that can’t talk back! DOUBLE WHAT THE… Dante is cool for shooting and one liners, not shooting and 50 liners!
If that’s not bad enough, in the upcoming Darkstalkers Comic, Morrigan and Lilith Team up to look for a spell book to enter the Human World. QUADRIPLE WHAT THE???
The Rival Schools Comic will be a One Shot if it’s any consilation, and I haven’t seen to many one shot Video Game Comics that mess things up too badly (Shinobi and the Resident Evil US Comics) so it might be okay, given Rival School’s Storyline wasn’t as butchered as SF’s Storyline by Capcom USA.
RS3, I think it shares the same fate of Darkstalkers 4 and Powerstone 3 - Most of the people who worked on those Games left Capcom, so it’s not so easy to make a Sequel right now. Powerstone 3 probably has a better shot for a Sequel since Powerstone 2 shows you can make a Sequel to it without adding ANY STORY at all… RS3 stands a much better chance then Darkstalkers, I feel.
I think that if someone were to drop a hint to Dreamwave to check out this site, then maaaaybeeee they’d get a chance to talk to someone who actually knows the storyline behind the Capcom games.
I mean, as evidenced by their Transformers books, they can churn out good comics. But Mega Man as a Junior High student named Rock? WTF???
And out off all the comics I read in the store, I didn’t see ONE decent fight against a Robot Master.
Man, the Mega Man X series had be a whole lot better or I’m taking a trip to Canada with a flamethrower… :bluu:
I think one reason Udon didn’t take up the other Capcom licenses is because they don’t know much about their factual canon as they do SF’s, considering that it’s one of the few series that several people bothered to reasearch and build a FAQ on.
Somebody needs to bring AAC-facts into this thread. I’ve been playing a lot of RS2 at a Golfland here, and I feel I’ve become a huge Zaki fan. I’d like to see info on her: profile, bio, stats, translated quotes, etc.

Anyway, from the impression I got from the game, Aoi Himezaki (“Zaki”) is some sort of ninja who goes to school at the same school Akira and Yurika go to. She apparently leads a gang of ninja who square off against Gedo high’s gangs in RS2. Well, she didn’t lead the ninjas in the attack as she was fighting Hideo, Kyoko, & Hayato at the time…

One thing I do know is that Zaki is not a ninja. She’s just a Japanese gangster girl that wields electrified chains.
The mask doesn’t scream out “I’m a ninja,” when the outfit doesn’t match.
The outfit is the Seijyun school uniform except customized a little (mainly to cover more skin)

Akira Kazama: Came from Gedo High after finding out what happened to Daigo in RS. Usually very shy until she puts on the motorcycle helmet. Has some sort of friendship with Batsu after RS, or at least considered him an ally. Probably one of the most technically skilled fighters in the RS universe that we’ve seen.
Aoi Himezaki: NOT a ninja. Kind of a loner, yet she has a reputation as being a very strong fighter. Uses electrified chains as weapons. (anyone know how she got those or why she uses them?)
Yurika (Can’t remember last name): Older sister of Kurow. Teams up with Kurow and Momo to form Darkside council. Apparently has some skill in playing the violin (or is it another instrument? Interesting as Kurow can play the flute, hypnotically well.)
Also, interesting as Akira was in an all boys’ school in RS, then an all girls’ school in PJ. Hmmm…
in RS akira had to wear the helmet the whole time in gedo HS as a 1st year student …
