Are you hit confirming st.mp x ex legs?
I think it was her only legit gtfo me move imo. She has a bunch of normal move aa that flat out stuffed a lot of attacks but you had to use your brain (too hard).
explain. I am new with chun so I dont know mutch.
She has situational normals for AAs like s.mk s.fp c.hk ect if the chun player has tight def and spaceing its almost impossible to jump in on her.
Well I have not played the played the game yet (should play it today at my friend’s place, a reporter) but Im not yet convinced that she is better. With her big damage cut on her bnb to ex leg I think that she has lost some weight in some match up. Weight that is only recovered by the power of Ultra 2. Basically I think she is better with ultra 2 and worse with ultra 1 since with ultra 1 she is the same with big damage cut. So playing against honda, blanka and all the character against whom ultra 1 is more usefull is going to be harder. And That is without talking about the buff of those characters.
TwilightFox: Yes, I’m hitconfirming it, might be a bit difficult to confirm at first but the more you attempt it the more used to it you’ll get.
Raiden: A gtfo move and an anti-air move don’t have to be the same move, ex sbk in vanilla is used to get people to stop pressuring you, in high level play there’s almost never a reason to be using this for AA.
MikeTyson: Like Cardell said, she’s got really good situational normals to AA with, st.mk, st.hp, c.hk, j.hp, u+hp, c.hp, cl.hp, cl.hp, c.mk, c.mp dashunders etc.
It takes time to learn when to apply them correctly but when you’ve done that there’s no reason to be using her ex sbk unless you don’t have any other choice.
Say you whiff a c.hk and they jump, you won’t have time to use a normal at this point, but ex sbk will work, there’s also the matchup against Blanka where if you don’t meet him in the air early with j.hp~hp she doesn’t have a standing answer to his jumpins aside from ex sbk.
Skatan, did you record any footage of your new matches from Dragon’s Lair?
I ran into an odd situation last night. I was playing against Guile. The player did low strong and I read the 2nd low strong and reversal Super’d. His arm was extended prior to my startup but then stuffed my Super clean. The entire room was in shock as we all thought the fight was over. I’ve never seen anything like that in vanilla IV. Can anyone confirm whether her Super was changed at all? Insight would be greatly appreciated.
I brought a camera but I actually didn’t record anything.
We’ll there’s always tomorrow, and saturday, and sunday
NagataLock:
Only her LK version of her super has full startup invincibility.
What happened was that you did mk or hk super and his c.mp was still in it’s active frames so you got stuffed due to the 2f startup.
True, well put. On that note I was playing super last night and I tried using the ex.sbk after a getting knocked down and it got stuffed with a jump in almost everytime. Seems like it’s been nerfed for that purpose. Guess I gotta learn to block now
did any of her bad match ups improve and does any of the new characters pose a threat too? Thank you
Oh okay. Is the game available on Saturday as well? I think I might be there on Saturday if you still have access to the game. Gonna try out some Chun, Viper and Rose!
:tup: Much thanks for the help. I’ll make the appropriate adjustments. :tup:
Thanks. Just little confused, what is the diffrence between c.hp and cl.hp?
c. = crouching
cl. = close
Didn’t realize most of the talk moved to this thread. So I’m going to copy some notes I posted in the vanilla thread here. hope you guys don’t mind.
There were a shit ton of notes I posted in the last few pages of that thread so feel free to look back if you want.
Here are the notes from today: (not all of it is new info, just some quick notes I typed up at work so i didn’t forget to mention)
Good stuff^^. Can’t wait to see vids of this.
Man. I wanna do some team battles with ya – but either no one on here has it yet – or they’re on the 360 version (which I won’t be getting until tomorrow.) I am playing on the PS3 one in the meantime just to warm up and test all the stuff that’s been discussed here so far and in the other Fellowship thread.
Ok this is all speculation but i hear the s.mp links into kikoken clean if thats true i see counter hit setups like c.lp,c.lp walk back s.mp kikoken , super or s.mp exlegs U2 ,ect if this works out the way i think she will be alot more offensive than i thought im suprised no one mentioned this. even though i haven’t played yet ={
