This is getting ridiculous im starting to think this stick might get released too late in the 360s life
This is tech talk, youāll be able to use this thing on newer consoles eventually, and I donāt think the 360 fighting game scene is really going anywhere for a while with the current games.
the revisions look nice. canāt wait to drop my fight money on this one to mod.
any chances that we can see into the PCB black box?
if the PCB is to stay black box. i would recommend having an extension of the PCB with a section for exposed signal pads for modding.
have the 200 been notified?
The only thing im saying is with rumors about new consoles⦠and how this project has taken almost a year⦠im not doubting about the 360 fighting game scene for now, but 1-2 years from now, the panorama might be totally different from today.
dont get me wrong im really looking FWD to this fight stick, im just saying hopefully this yearā¦
Looking forward to this. Not only is the madcatz TE overpriced for what it is - essentially just a decent quality stick, but theyāre also actually hard to get hold of due to the limited run bullshit.
If Iāve got any suggestion for the razer crew, itās got to be this: sell two versions of it, one ācompleteā with all the best buttons and stick and PCB ready installed and ready to go, and one āliteā version with just the barebones case for people to custom fit with their own favourite gear. Also give the PCB the same swap in / swap out functionality that youāve given the rest of the box, so people can use their dual/tri-modded stuff if you havenāt already.
well i like the new look, it is now a hexogon with how the back left and right sides are slated
does the increased size anable us to use happ/korean parts and other none japanase parts as this will be a big factor in my decision on buying this stick
Glad that all the buttons are black now and not green, blue and so on
the turbo leds are buttons now dont know if anyone has noticed
i am not that technical but as long as you make different layouts like astro city and what not this will sell
one thing to add though it would be nice if you added two mini buttons that is the same as the last top and bottom button, this will anable people who wants to have 6 buttons layout without losing the two buttons. You could also make it a kind to how the hori soul calibur V stick, that one has a L3 and R3 mini button that can be swicthed with a toogle swith to L2 and R2, this way people can also have the 6 button layout while still being able to press L2 and R2
ps does the bottom still have that felt like thing to make sure the stick does not slide
i think price point is still going to be important here, it looks really awesome but it also looks more expensive =P
All of Razerās products have been retardedly overpriced for years now so its no shocker why this thing will share that same fate. I can however see their price justified only if they make the stick compatible for both systems. Tho i will admit this thing clearly beats the shit out of anything Madcatz have produced thats for sure.
Iām excited to try it out. If nothing else, itās just got a lot going for it that I like.
Looks nice, I like the honeycomb plane. Iād like to see what it looks like wired up. No shame in using normal Earth human quick disconnects.
Got any photos from other angles, and of the back?
That is actually a great idea. I know the stick is going to come with Sanwa parts but I prefer a Seimitsu stick and Iām even going to try out the buttons soon too and Iād be much happier being able to buy the bare box version and outfit it with what I want.
Slightly worried about the pitch of the holes in the honeycomb panel. Will Cthulhu, IMP, and PS360+ boards be comfortably positioned over the pre-made holes?
looks really good, im just worried there wont be enough space for dualmod boards. And this is a personal nitpick but i dont like the control panel on the front. Thats also one of the reasons i didnt buy a TE, i feel it ruins the artwork. I would like it if its on the northern side of the case. Oh and just do the Home button and DP/LS switches, i feel that turbo buttons are worthless, no one really uses it. If you need to put a turbo there then just stick to one universal turbo switch/button, it takes up less space in the control panel and makes it less uglier IMO.
Razer, Iām really liking that stick. I just bought a stick recently though⦠however, that stick is excellent in design. I prefer Astro City panels, but Vewlix is OK by me(but right now vewlix is the standard, so Iād run with it).
I also really like the honeycomb system and the fact that start and select lock, and are out of the way. The weight also seems to be right on the money, not too light, but not too heavy either.
I like the Razer artwork too, itās minimalistic, but has something to say.
Yawwwwwwwwwwn
How long does it take to build such a generic looking stick? Better hurry and beat the Hori Fighting Edge to the market, cuz it shits all over this [S]TE[/S] Razer stick.
You guys are such ungrateful pricks. Learn how to be more respectful. I understand itās the internet but no need to be bashing Razer. I appreciate everyone that has constructive criticism and is staying on topic.
If youāre going to bash, it does not belong here. Just move along.
Thatās cause some people find it easier to just whine, as oppose to add anything of value to a discussion. I love it when people complain but offer no solution themselves.
Iād like to see the case with a carrying handle. Something like that would help out a lot. While this would normally block the usb compartment, you could easily have it be detachable. Then for the usb cable, Iād rather see an automatically retracting cable with a lock mechanism similar to a tape measure.
Thank you for coming back and posting up, even if it could now be referred to as āfinallyā.
Liking that youāre showing the inside of the case, and that it appears to be easily modifiable inside. I think, though, that a little more useful information could be given, such as the distance between the holes in each ācellā of the honeycomb design, if weāll be able to use the button connectors with our own boards, etc.
Second, I really feel that you should be giving updates more often, even if itās to say ānothing to reportā. Gotta admit, I was starting to wonder if anything was going to happen with this, or if Latif was going to be the only one providing input. Glad to see the original plan hasnāt been derailed, but again, please post a little more often than once every 4 months, alright? Canāt hurt to communicate more often, right?
Pleasssseā¦
I did offer what i thought was value to this thread, months ago and yesterday. Stick still looks generic as fuck and custom art aināt gonna change that. Razer is supposedly a premium brand, and then they come out with a blander looking TE. Yeah, the hydraulic arm is kinda cool, but yaaaaaaaawwwnn!!!
If the Hori Edge glowed green instead of blue, itād be a proper Razer stick.
