About the gen vs rose matchup, i remember reading something before and someone tesing that cl.mk done meaty on gen beats EVERYTHING he does? is this true? im gonna have a FT5 set streamed with Redwolf maybe later tonight, a gen player so i just wanted to get my facts straight to prep up for it.
I think it was that if you meaty c.mk on his wakeup his DP will go over you if he tries it. I would test it tho just to make sure.
Wow didn´t knew that! If its true that is…great!..and bad for Gen xD…could it be? even EX-kicks? I hope you see if it works or not and tell us xD I have a Gen friend of mine that plays him pretty good…but he doesn´t play that often xD
BTW I´ve practiced this morning the Safe-jump OS EX spiral on training…and don´t quite get the timing right(Even Seth´s SRK gets me reversaled most times xD)…any good tips to cath the timing on sweep or backthrow? I feel I really need to get it down to improve my offensive game…that will also help me in some matchups a lot xD
Are there any options against an Ibuki that likes to backdash on wake-up, except jumpin OS EX spiral? I’m not great with OS c.lp/sweep, so I just tried sweeping to catch her in her backdash but it whiffs. She dashes too far, or too long. Doesnt work.
Trouble with a jumpin OS is that it only works on hard knockdowns.
cr.lk OS ex spiral should be your best best, its easier to do than jump os, or sweep os.

You guys are all doing something wrong with Honda.
Just saying.
How can you tell that just by how they rank the match? I think Hondas who can do c.jab to hands cause Rose a lot of problems as c.Jab stuffs a lot of Rose’s normals. Honda wins in the event of a trade. His damage output in general is better, his EX Headbutt is damn safe and painful even when blocked. I think at worse it’s 6-4, but even if it’s 5-5, it’s a hard fight.
Uhm maybe that is the case…I dunno about that…but for me is damn damn damn hard xD I fight 4 great online Honda´s all the time…BigHawk,Ghetto something xD(a bit of a foolish[troll] guy but plays good nonetheless xD) and my friend KingVisigoth…and damn I get really pounded down…like 10-3 or something like that…so maybe I suck on the matchup(as I do on the Seth one)…but still I found it to be at least 6-4 on my POV.
As Metroxylon says, c.lp to hands is devilish, EX-headbutt gives him some free wakeups(I believe you can SJump OS U1…) or at least nice AA tool which damages hard…he has Oicho throw, sumo splash(slam?),meatys etc. to keep the pressure on you without U2 to escape…3 mix-ups and you are almost done not counting all the possible trades =D…his jump-ins tend to trade with you if done correctly…and he is not that easy to zone with his neutral jump hp…well…he has a lot of ways to kill you xD Gief is a lot more “zone-able” cause of his speed and also his jump-ins getting a lot more easy stuffed…and still Gief for me is a 5-5 match…so Honda is on the Sumo´s favor on my opinion
Still I hate Seth´s matchup a lot more xD but that possibly is because I have not fought good Seths more than 7 times I believe? so there is no practice xD
But right at the point where you have to force Honda to do stuff and Honda has to get in, it’s a really hard match for him.
Force Honda to jump, he loses half health.
It’s like, yeah, he can jab hands, but Rose doesn’t get hit with full jab hands anyway and it turns into a guessing game where Rose either gets away (where she has the monstrous lead) or she gets headbutt.
Even then, you can jump back after getting hit with jab hands while standing.
it’s not that hard >.>
Honda doesn’t even need jab hands against Rose really. Just get hit and Honda can sit on the other side of the screen and react however.
Honda has some ranges where he can jump-in and hit you with great reaching air normals, that make me doubt my anti-air tactics. If you dont do anything, he gets closer for free.
Guile: 6-4 Rose
Dhalsim 5-5 or 6-4 Sim(don’t get to play that matchup alot  )
Balrog: 6-4 Balrog(c.jabs > you)
Zangief: 4.5-5.5 Gief(if you got balls, you can screw with his wakeup like you can Abel’s)
T-hawk: 6-4 Rose (assume so)
Adon: 4.5-5.5 Adon
Blanka: 5.5-4.5 Rose
Deejay: 6-4 Rose
Vega: 6-4 Rose
Honda: 6-4 Honda. I generally agree with Rose, but his higher damage output and health kicks your ass, and it’s much harder to beat him when he has the lead than the other way around. In AE it’s gonna be even thanks to his nerfs.
How do you go about forcing Honda to do anything? Usually if I don’t do anything for long enough, meaning just pacing in and out of footsie range, I can make honda impatient enough to jump, or greedy enough if they expect me to fireball. But Honda is better at brickwalling than Rose. All Rose has in this match up is full screen fireballs, s.HK, normal throws/sc.MK, and more useful ultras than Honda’s.
“You never have a reason to use U2 on Blanka since U1 punishes most of his nonsense.”
haha!!
