I told sk i’m dropping rose as well, but my reason is different. I’m not playing Rose anymore because her u2 is a big gimmick to me and it’s way to easy to win with her. u2 gets heavily relied on and it wont teach you to clutch it out, just panic and use it seems to be the thing people go for but i honestly don’t feel like i’m learning that way. I’m playing Chun now, she’s more of a challenge but it’s worth it to me. Also i remember mr flowers saying he was quieting rose just because he didn’t like her new alt that’s coming out and no one said anything about that yet me and renegade got our names in the mud because of our honest beliefs.

^stay away form the corner, lol i get eatin alive there. cr.hp stuffs the chicken wing, so get them accustomed to throwing it out by chucking the plasma. uuhhh Rose recommended to me that cr.mp beats all of fei’s pokes, im not to sure on this one… you can try experimenting with that. as usual though, well spaced drills so you dont eat a full rekka.

The corner is always the place you want to stay out of, but you have to play your way out if you do get in there.
Chicken Wing are anti-airable by cr. fierce or soul throw timed, but cr. fiercing it is so much easier to time, not strict AT ALL.
cr. mp does beat out all his pokes, except his overhead poke which where it trades.
I’m an Illusion Spark 15 y/o boy, so I’m gonna recommend Illusion Spark, but soul satellite has it’s uses as always.
Satellite keeps Fei from being in your face all day after knockdown. Which is going to happen.
Spark punishes chicken wings if your reaction are good.
most know what i’m going to say. Go with U2 since U1 overall is situational on Fei.
I like using both in this match up, but I overall like using Illusion Spark because like.
Soul Satellite gets him out of your face once/twice, and it doesn’t give you the sure advantage where if you do get to activate it and he does get out of your face, you have to dash towards him before your 12 seconds runs out and he can chicken wing through it, so dashing wouldn’t be your best bet.
U1, however, just NULLIFIES CHICKEN WING.
And that’s the only reason why I like U1, not to mention the momentum changer because Fei can hardly get in.
But either one is fine in this match up.

Fei doesn’t even need to abuse chicken wing to get in on Rose. U1 doesn’t nullify chicken wing to the point he can’t use it even when she has U1. If anything you’re stopping full screen chicken wings and good Fei players aren’t going to do random CWs from full/mid screen when Fei can just approach with his good normals.
so say you do react to a full/mid screen CW with U1. Ok you got him. Now Fei’s back to getting in your face with nothing to worry about. With U2, the best Fei can do is a EX Wing to get out of the way and buy time for orbs to end or tread lightly when he approaches. During all this, Rose can go more offensive on Fei and start her mind games since U2 is out and Fei doesn’t have a actual answer to safely poke Rose out of Orbs.
But hey, if you want to “nullify” 1 move Fei doesn’t need to approach Rose by all means run with it. Whatever works for you.
Yeah, U1 works against shitty fei’s that do naked Chicken Wings from 3/4 screen away. If that’s who you’re playing against, sure. Go ahead.
This is Starnab vs Sabin. I want you to count how many times Starnab does naked Chicken Wing from a distance that could be reacted to and punished by U1.

You didn’t see any did you? The one time starnab does it is in the 3rd match in REACTION to Rose’s fireball. Rose doesn’t fireball= Fei can’t just mash chicken wing.
Rose can C.FP it, slide under it, or (very rarely) soul throw it.
Considering U2 is only 5 frame startup, you could do that much later as well.
Rose’s real problems in the Fei matchup seem to stem from his great footsies/focus attack. As well as his 3 frame jab that punishes misspaced Drills. One misspaced anything and it’s jab into Rekkatown.
It’s Just like U1 works against shitty Blanka’s that use balls as 100% of their offense. The only reason I can understand U1 against blanka is that it also Punishes EX Upballs on hit… severely limiting his DEFENSE while you have it stocked.
But hey, if it works against randoms on XBL, it must be how it’s played right?
Used in conjuction with spaced spirals, sparks, and normals to zone him out, U1 will do more average damage.
It also stops him from jumping in with his j. mp, which trades or beats our cr. fierce :(.
And on a weird unrelated note, any Kara grab will beat Rose’s soul satellites when done right in front of her.
Vega’s kara grab, Ken’s kara grab, rose’s kara grab (with soul piede) even works.
It’s horrid :(. So you have to even have a more lousy guessing game where you have to jump if they go for the Kara, it’s stupid.

You really go miles to say that U2 is shit. Or should be nerfed. Or U1 is the best. Or U1 is useless since U2 is overpowered. Or. Do you actually have any coherent opinions or do you just ramble things as long as it contradicts any accepted opinion?

U2 > U1 IMO, except in 4 match ups.

Well guys I gots a question…well more of a problem. I’m not really sure how to play footsies with boxer(along with inconsistent AA’ing) and it is costing me matches. What are some of ways to beat his staple pokes and get my damage. Also what are some of the better frame traps y’all have found against him.
