What the notation for that Magneto ROM-ish combo?
hey I just so happened to play Storm and Trish, and didn’t know there was a DHC trick until now - can any one explain how to do it?? >_<
also - this has been mentioned b4 in this thread, but why don’t people do M M H S, rather than M H S (i’m talking about at the end of the st.M, cr.H, j.H adf j,H land st.M, cr.H, s -> into M (M) H S Hailstorm) i’m able to do M M H S - is it because of scaling for the hailstorm? I mean it does 500ish extra dmg and more meter (i think) and really isnt that much harder than M H S.
also can someone explain the timing of the j. H add cr. H, j.H, add cr.H in the andyOCR combo? i can never get the second j.H to hit after I add and do cr.H
The explanation is on the first page of this thread. You DHC before the end of her animation and the damage scaling is reset. Pretty easy.
MHS is more consistent than MMHS. You get greedy the longer the combo becomes, and then the chances or dropping become greater. That and not all characters fall into the same juggles.
And there is no real “timing” to the AndyOCR combo, just tight execution. You should just try to get the first part of the combo first, when youre comfortable with that then then set the AI in practice mode to jumping then just sit there until you can get st. M > cr. H > jc. H > ad.df cr.H > jc. H > ad.df cr. H to combo
Don’t forget that if you wind up with meter after that and they still aren’t dead, you can THC with Chun + Storm. Hail Storm will OTG after the j.:s: picking them up into Chun’s super as well.
No air tag specific combos for storm?
if she gets air tagged into, she can typically just j.:l::h: xx :d::db::s: (fly), [j.:h: xx air dash] x4 j.:s:, land, super.
It doesn’t add much damage after a full combo from someone else, so it’s mostly just for the meter.

She’s doing this combo specifically to combo into Elemental Rage at a higher height than normal. However, Taskmaster can still follow-up a normal OTG Elemental Rage using an assist and his air :h: Arrow Shot. But that’s still a good combo too.

I wanted that combo because I really like using Taskmaster - how hard is it to pull off the 2nd version, where using assist + air H arrow? does it require tiger-knee style air or can i just quickly tap assist + jump and arrow. i find even difficult to do the assist + arrow, even on a normal combo with task - I find that I don’t have enough time for me to jump up and arrow, the character already recovers by that time.
The timing is a bit tight, but I remember it working better without using a TK motion. Just call the assist while jumping and shoot 1 arrow. It works with Storm’s Whirlwind assist which is nice since you just DHC’d from her.
The arrow OTGs them into the assist. Then Taskmaster lands and starts his combo while they’re still juggled. I believe I was doing his :h: into an immediate air combo from there.
I remember it being touchy mid-screen using Whirlwind assist though - it may be easiest with other assists instead.
The benefit there is in case you don’t get a clean setup on someone that lets you do the ideal combo follow-up above. Or if you Aerial Exchange into Storm and have to ground them at the end of her air combo, it still gives you a way to DHC glitch into Taskmaster for the kill. It’s also an option if you get a ground throw or air throw where you necessarily have to OTG them.

Nah, no youtube channel or any match postings unfortunately. I mostly just have fun playing around with combos in training mode, watching streams and playing a few friends locally. Work schedule makes week night tournaments tough.
Let me know how it goes though. If Storm’s your point character it’s really important to get your BNB to the point where it builds 1 meter so you can DHC glitch and kill from the very first hit. Optimizing the meter gain is just as important (maybe more) than the pre-glitch damage.
I have a feeling you could end that combo with :h: :s: super jump j.:h: j.:s: (or maybe just the j.:s: if hit stun deterioration is too high), land, OTG Ele Rage to build a little extra meter/damage if you were already in the corner.
Am I missing the spot where the combos are here after throw are?
Seems like with storm u can either get most of ur hits on the ground with the JC stuff or in the air with fly stuff. Anyone have a good concisistent sequence for the air fly stuff? There are a few in the op of course, but hard to know which is best, which are relatively easy to do (less easy and more consistent)?
I found that you can actually mash M+H in her fly combo for the ADF Hx4 it’s, kinda retarded.

so am i late on Fanatiqs Storm combo after an aerial exchange? took me all but 30 mins to get the hang of it. TOO SICK. :eek:
i haven’t seen anyone do this yet, but storm can followup hailstorm with elemental rage, and also kill assists with multiple hailstorms
that Flight combo was awesome, Ive never seen that either.
Did you see the Hail Storm linked into E.Rage in the MegamanDS v Fanatiq FT15 set2. seems like I saw that as well.
Any way this is much needed, even if late, technology for storm
Fanatiqs fly combo was super nasty but I could’nt find the hail storm linked to e rage maybe I’m just blind.

You can link a L. Lightning Sphere in a shortened fly combo right after an Air H and right before the air S.
Gives about 350K before the OTG super
