I dont disagree with you that the right wing is often unnecessarily generalized as being white supremacist, much in the same way that liberals are unnecessarily generalized as marxist communists. However, there is a basis for both of those generalizations, right? Most marxists would identify as far left, and most white supremacists would identify as far right. Itâs not that those sides of the spectrum wholly represent those ideals, but they are the sides of choice for those idealogies, which is why the generalization is made. Can we agree on that?

Theyâre both buffoonish generalizations to make with no evidence, but the insinuation that someone is a white supremacist can affect someoneâs work and social life if those accusations arenât tamped down moreso than someone being called a Marxist. The insinuation that someone is a white supremacist is generally a means of discrediting them so the accuser doesnât have to rebut their ideas/arguments or in the hopes that theyâll back down for fear that people will actually believe theyâre a white supremacist. Iâm not sure that most people who make accusations of white supremacy know or care if the person theyâre accusing actually IS one, but itâs something a lot of people are afraid of being called in this day and age and hard to prove you arenât, so itâs weaponized, never mind the fact that when people go around calling everybody a racist, it desensitises people to ACTUAL racists being called out.
