you damn right. If I ever tried passing that kinda stuff off as bills, I’d be destroyed.
had one of my fans on my radiator die, so I’m waiting on my new set of 140mm fans to show up. Ordered a set of Noctua fans off Amazon to replace the ML fans that came with my AIO.
With few exceptions the stock fans are usually crapola. I typically use Noctua or EK brand Fans.
more of the great Risitas.
I recently picked up a mousepad upgrade from my Zowie one I’ve had for the last little bit. Picked up a XXL Extended pad from Glorious PC.
late edit: Tried buying RDR2 on the Rockstar Launcher, but their payment service doesn’t like the donation card I have with the plasma center. So, I bought it from CDKeys.
picked the Glorious PC mousepad up from my moms this morning. This shit is fucking huge af and takes up my ENTIRE area for my M&KB. It’s really well done too.
Have just built a “watercooled” itx machine or at least the basis for it. I plan on swapping the corsair radiator to an aquacool one and going full loop when I upgrade my 1070 next year, in which I’ll be watercooling my new gpu as well.
Current need to know specs are:
Ryzen 3700x
GTX 1070
32GB 3200mhz ddr4 RAM
That’s a really nice PC! You using a NCase chassis?
No it’s the streacom Da2. I wanted the Ncase but the ver. 6 was in production and didn’t want to wait.
Glad I switched, love this case. So easy to work in thermals are great, and even has the extra room for a rear exhaust that I wouldn’t get in the Ncase, although I did stub my toe on the fully aluminium case, that’s a painful downside
RIGS AT THE READY, FELLAS!!!
Also dat Hell Hath no Fury track!!
My copy of RDR2 is about 75% done decrypting … gonna get in here and tweak the SHIT outta it. Hope it’s got a built-in benchmark too.
edit: happy yeethaw day if you’re playing RDR2
Have to wait untill tonight after work.
But yeah, I’m ready for the 2nd ride of Arthur!!
Now all we need is a RE2: Remake style remaster of RDR1!!
RDR2 on PC taxes everything … did the benchmark a few times and the highest FPS I got was 45 and some change. That was on previous drivers (440.08), grabbing the new Game Ready drivers from nVidia and doing a final run through before I take a nap.
edit: installed new drivers, at defaults I’m getting 68fps. Switching renderers and turning everything to high gets me to 58, so I’m gonna have to go through and do some more tweaking and testing when I’m feeling better.
Well this makes me nervous for when I plan to first boot it up at home!!!
general FYI, it’s not really optimized either. Hopefully this can be improved over time with patches, but after spending a little bit more time tweaking the game; I’m able to run the benchmark at over 60fps at all high settings. Ultra settings are a whole 'nother monster, and I’m just under the mark with everything maxed.
First two attempts of booting up RDR2 ended in abrupt exits to the Rockstar launcher, right at the R* Logo loading video!
sigh
Taking the first step of damage control by updating my graphics card drives
UPDATE: Disabling my antivirus did the trick, now I’m running benchmarks to see where the sweet spot is.
Just spent the last couple of hours playing RDR2. I ended up just throwing it on the highest “favor performance” setting and being done with it. Runs close to 100fps with that setting.
Good, I might not have to boycott this game then
(Still considering it as its on Epic).
Taking a break from MHW Resident Evil 2 collab, to doctor on RDR2!!
To help with the stutter and brief pauses, I’m using this mega-thread as a reference:
