Watching Stock drops on discord and having the https://www.twitch.tv/falcodrin playing in the background. Was a Newegg combo drop and got lucky with folks just waiting on 3080s to drop so scored this puppy. I returned the mobo and kept the card so no bang against that.
If you proceed to follow the twitch channel a few things. Have all your info ready and payment squared away with who ever you decide to go thru. Unless your super lucky skip getting a card from Zotac or Asus since their site is trash and always crashes. Newegg tends to do their stocks around 630-645 EST or at 9 EST. The twitch channel will let out a alarm when something drops and leaves links to follow. Any questions the chat will let you know and suggested ways. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I’m not fond of cases with clear sides…I usually keep it on the floor.
I got the tools though. Been a few years since I built a PC.

I usually don’t go for aesthetics, but some upper tier motherboards have displays for cpu temp and error codes and holy fuck is it nice to be able to read that without having to open the case.

I got the monitor last month for my birthday, and it’s the first one that I have that does this.

I going to try it out and see what the results are.
I’ve tried all those things and none of them did anything for me. I also don’t have any big performance issues though.
One guy who made a reddit post where it worked for him stated he was getting 30-50 fps on lowest settings at 1080p with a 1080 ti. Soooo something is up with his system already.
I might try that out to see if maybe it prevents me from crashing when I alt+tab out of the game while streaming. I doubt it will help.
I havent had any issues but I applied some fix yesterday by hex editing. I saw no changes. Try this out just to see if it fixes the issues while I stream but I’ll probably end up changing it back just to cause. I’ll just wait for official patches to roll out.

I just gave in and bought a 3070 off a scalper. Problem sloved 
. Can run it in 3440x1440p with the settings pretty high.
I keep hearing about the 3070, but I want to stick with an AMD GPU since the new CPU and Mobo are all from that brand.
But man…the GPU market!!
