Just stopping in to congratulate John on his new TE once again. We’ll have to play more sometime when tournament jitters aren’t getting the best of me (and when I’ve used a Ragna sandbag a lot more).
I’m afraid I forgot the guy’s name (was distracted by the dorkiness of the ghetto SBO experience and rooting my brother on during his matches) – older black guy, played on controller. Didn’t do the taunt loop on me or anything like that but still did some very respectable D loops on my Tager, as well as lots of the drop-down D Magneto-like tri-jumping and those stupid fucking combos where Tao crosses Tager’s fat ass up mid-combofasfaggasdggFUCK CATS. He was exponentially less free than pretty much anybody else I fought before John.

Almost sure that’s the case, I know there was definitely some B-Kin representation at AFO, plus you know Jamel would be there BB or no BB. So yeah, had to be Hsien Jo.

Cali is the shit for real, though… lived there a long time ago, but have very fond memories. You could certainly do worse. Enjoy the sane gas prices of FL, though, while you’re here… you’ll be missing them sooner than you think once you hit the west coast.
But there is like 1% chance of you finding that one hot cosplay chick walking around with her other hot cosplay friends (if you are super lucky), then that 35 dollars might just be the best investment of your life. As all otaku know, they go to events like AFO for that rare 1%. It’s kinda like playing the lotto. Some people don’t play bc they don’t think they will ever win. Ironically, some do. Let’s not dissing on those who are brave enough to try. That’s all i have to say!

Need your help!! I just bought the Sony 52" internet ready 120hz LED yesterday<(on sale hooray for surround sound!). So far i like the big screen, though the people look like their floating, was watching cheech and chongs up in smoke and the video just looked awkward. What setting should I place it at?
Also, I was playing SSF4 and I don’t think I was too excited over the way it looked, is there anyway to make it look smoother, the character select screen looks grainy, if that makes any sense… but yea, i’d appreciate any help on settings and what to do for OPTIMAl, gaming. haha thanks!
Played Super SFIV for the first time (on pad, unfortunately) yesterday and I can definitely say I love it. I barely played an hour of Vanilla and didn’t like it too much, but Super’s awesome. Very easy to just jump right into if you already know footsies and basic combos (super cancelling scissor kick is the easiest thing in the world, too bad you rarely have full super with Bison). I think I’ll definitely be attending some sessions if people can put up with me having to learn links and matchups from scratch.
the “floaty soap opera” look is due to it being at 120hz. You’ll get used to it over time(at least that’s what jebailey said haha). I would also ensure that you have any game mode on that you can as i imagine it’s a wee bit laggy atm eh?
wee bit is an understatement, i’m thinking of just going back to my old t.v. that i <3 apparently. Damn i’m pissed. I gotta mess around with the settings after work and i’m def. going to see what I can do to change that soap opera crap.
TURN 120hz OFF. That isn’t true 120 hrtz it’s the stupid motion changing feature(samsung, lg and Sony all have there own versions) don’t worry you won’t be missing any feature cuz the tv is set at 120hz native so it’s allways on. So turn it off and enjoy your tv.
( I sold tvs at hhgregg for years and have a 120hz lg tv at home )

Just curious how many of you BBCS players are gonna consider the EXP Con in St. Augustine in October. I’m doing all the thread info and such, and I’m still debating if I’ll have it on Xbox or PS3 because we’ll already have 40 xboxs at the event and no ps3s so it’ll be easier to do on Xbox unless there is an uprising of Ps3 only players coming.
Also anyone can post up the General Rules for a BBCS tourney and if anything’s banned and such.
How is the BB scene divided? The majority of people that I know that play are all on PS3, just like Tekken players…
