FlameIce, you mind posting pics of your RJ45 mod? I want a good look at how the wires are organised under the hood before I take a crack at it.
Had the RJ45 Mod and switched to the DB9 Mod instead because of the more secure connection.Tug on it and it doesnt come off…Would Send pics but I’m at work…just my 2 cents. If u consider going this route a dude named Devils Fang can send u pics jus pm him
Good games tonight to the usual suspects at Ian’s, and remember I’m always available to provide Bang’s 5A matchup experience.
well i just bought a TE round 2 SF stick from mad kadtz i may be here sat depending on shipping i just want the faceplate change from the stock artwork to this iron man template i found…(i might make a custom one idk yet)
im just too scaredd to be opening up something i just spent alot of money on lol do you have pics of your work or stuff u customzed?
go to the the tech talk forum, there is a thread that walks you through it step by step… with lots of pictures…
ggs to Torrin, Ben, Jeff, and Rico.
Bang match up is starting to become more doable just gotta start nailing all my combos instead of dropping half way through. 4.5k > 3k haha
man i havnt posted in here in a while… you guys playing much BB CS? Im thinking about picking it up today.
Also about the whole stick modding, how hard would it be to mod a 360 TE to work with PS3 AND WII… the ps3 is easy bc you just grab that board, but I cant find any solid info about wii stuff
Use an MC chthulu and the wii mod is cake.
red velvet layered cheesecake? bc thats my fav
Ok ill make some time to do that today.
Edit:
I’m just going to put all the stuff here that dudes want to see. The stuff that peeps have been asking about.
Custom Joys made(These joysticks are kind of old and crappy. Will try to get pics of my better work)
RJ45 in TE
(I wanted the RJ45 inside of the TE cord box as a result the spacing is really really tight. When installing it be careful that the RJ45 does not block the joystick)
The MC really supports the Gamecube not the Wii. However if the game you want to play utilizes the Gamecube controller then you should be fine.
Ok this is exactly what I want to do to both my TEs. Question, I have a 360 TE, so I would just use the USB out on the chthulu board for 360 and ps3 with no padhacking right? and something like I would swith between DP and RS depending on which system I wanted…
then I would use the ethernet jack to connect my gamecube, ps2, etc, etc, etc cables?
Sort of. First you will need to “padhack” your TE pcb. You don’t have to “padhack” the MC because it has the quick disconnect terminals. You can if you want to though. Some dudes prefer that. Also you need to get your self an imp along with the MC. You connect the USB from both systems to the imp. You then solder the “mode switch LS DP RS thing” to the guide solder point on the imp. You are correct about the Ethernet jack. That’s what the RJ45 is. I would recommend connecting the RJ45 to the second row of the MC and connect the VCC of the IMP to the first row. You can do the reverse too. Just make sure they are on separate rows. I saw one dude do it all on the same row and that shit didn’t end nicely lol.
This will tell you pretty much all you need to know.

soldering… /sigh… i hate that crap… are the solder points easy on the te pcb?
Thanks for the pics man. Was pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
That’ll be my next project after my art swap is done.
Also, I like how this thread is Tech Talk now.

Be there or be behind. Also get hype for Seasons Beatings im going who else from O-town wants to join?
They are reasonable. There are a few tough spots. Overall the mod is pretty easy. Get yourself some thin gauge wire.
I know there are tuts available I just want someone to do it for me for a reasonable price. Like I said before I don’t feel too comfortable taking apart my stick I just spent alot of money on. If I somehow break it I would never hear the end od it from my gf lol
Ive made 2 sticks from scratch, including full PCB pad hacking and box building etc etc etc… I had zero wood work, solder work, or anything experience prior to it.
I promise you that breaking it is a lot harder than youd think!
If you dont believe me see my super awesome noob guide:
http://shoryuken.com/f177/almost-done-gekkos-easy-custom-stick-guide-journal-total-n00bs-lots-pics-192082/
If I could do that, I promise you can open a prebuild stick with screws and add a single board in.
Yeah man that shit is easy. Especially if you just want to add art. For the art mod just remember if you plan to add plexi glass file down the tabs on the buttons otherwise you risk cracking the Plexiglas. If you want ill do it for you though. Free of charge of course. I love modding shit.
Anytime man, and i agree tech talk is awesome!
if anybody see’s Jebailey, tell him that if he has dead grass in his front yard i know why lol. Heard That chris got 4th at the hooters (with sagat) that’s good shit. He must have leveled up like a mug since metrocon
He also cracked out Fei Long against Torrin’s Balrog. In tourney. And WON.
Chris has a LOT of potential. He keeps at this, he’s going to be a monster someday.
I might come through to Senkei’s place with Jeff later for some BBCS. You can all watch my crappy Tager get helplessly eaten by bees. (If this was Vampire Savior, it’d be the other way around…)
