Yes, this is what I have been wanting. I also have the same problem of having even less space for hosting, but we need to get something started. I do play more games than tekken…
On the downside, it’s probably to a dude. :wtf:
On the upside, TWO BACHELOR PARTIES! WOOT! :woot:
On the absolute bottom, two gay bachelor parties. :wasted:
So homo. 8===>:amazed:
I guess I can understand your lack of interest in T6 and TvC. Personally I just want more people to play TvC with me. -_-;
But yeah, I’m sure there are plenty of people who would be interested in playing HD Remix more. It’s really easy to pick up because it’s so grounded on fundamentals, and the only difficult aspect of any kind of execution is directly related to the speed of the game.
I would totally approve of KoF as well. Seeing as how XII failed pretty hard, I’m sure we could get some XI/'98 UM/'02 UM going if people wanted to get used to the SNK franchise. I have classic '98 and XI for the PS2; somebody else (probably you) would have to provide '98 UM. '02 UM is apparently really good but I’ve never played it before. We can figure out the dynamics when the time comes.
All we need to do at this point is organize who’s capable of hosting, what times, days, games, etc. And to anyone who’s interested, don’t let issues like learning curve scare you off. If push comes to shove, I will gladly teach as much as I possibly can. My ability to execute is limited, but I know how to teach concepts.
Other than SSF4 the only other fighters that I am going to try to put some time into will be BBCS and MVC3 when that comes out, though maybe giving TvC a try would be beneficial. That being said, I have no problems with people bringing up a set up here on Thursdays for games that they want to play since we have plenty of space. I enjoy watching other games like King of Fighters and Guilty Gear so maybe that will motivate me to give them a try.
I’m definitely down for some TvC if I find myself in the area.
That being said, I’m not entirely sure I will be finding myself in the area within the next month, outside of my grandfathers funeral
I think I’m gonna come up for the next tournament at the end of the month. Ready to take it back from Orlando!
BB will be played. My house has good space to host so get ready bitches!!
John I would love to see some more BB action. A lot of peeps are interested in the upcoming version.
i’d love to learn TvC but that means i have to play it off my wii and i’m too lazy to finish the set up. I had it running on Dolphin on my pc but the framerate is shite for somereason…anywho i abandon tekken, to be semi decent i have to do way too much homework for a game i don’t really like all that much haha. Like Senkei said we’ll be popping off some BB:CS action come the 27th and i’m def. about MvC3 and KoFXIII as well, just have to wait for them to come out haha.
Back from Vegas! Now off to work…
you can go with a 60 fps video camera and record you hitting balrogs jab and count how many frames it takes to come out lol. Other than that not really lol.
I would love to learn some other games aside from SSF4. I cannot tell you how bored I am with it. The only reason I continue to play SSF4 is because that’s what the scene is for. Everyone here plays and it’s easy to get people together for casuals or a tournament. The problem is, the other games don’t have any scene because they’re just terrible. If a good game comes out, I am sure enough people will be interested in playing.
^^^ wait for Mk9, man
If it sucks ass, I’ll eat my words. But I’m hoping for nothing but a stellar production.
I’d be totally down for HD Remix becoming a bigger part of Orlando scene. Although I am surprised more of you don’t seem entirely familiar with original ST.

official Makoto gameplay trailer from acsys. It appears she can set “mines” on the ground similar to ky’s orby things from GG and you can elect which makoto you become when she does her Shadow clone thingy.
looking rather interesting tbh, she looks kinda fun.
also at 25 seconds she has a different meter appear abover her heat gauage as she’s charging her projectile, possibly power herself up during the fight?
BB is very fun. I’ve only played it occasionally and know very little about it, but I expect that to change once CS comes out. Getting a scene for that and HDR would be great. Even though I still consider HDR to be inferior to original ST, it’s still well worth playing and getting good at, especially since original ST has no scene to speak of in Florida.
A point like this is exactly why I wanted to try to start something. As far as this group goes, HD Remix and BB:CS are probably the best options. I really want to get a few people together for TvC, but I can understand why several people wouldn’t like it. It really is a fun game but on the competitive level you have to go into the game with a rather different mindset from what people are used to.
I don’t have BB:CS on my computer, personally, but I could get it since enough people seem to want to play. CS seems to have a much better chance of catching on than CT and we might as well try to take advantage of an early start (even though it’s been out for a few months already). We have Alex T as our resident GG/BB expert, too, so we have plenty of room to learn.
So who would be able to host if we were to get this started?
the past 3-4 times i’ve hosted on saturdays i’ve had BB:CS running lol… I’ve also had a GG set up(with ben’s help bringing the disc since i lost my boot disc haha). I’ve often asked if anyone wanted to play HD REmix and it’s always met with a resounding no from 90% of the people present /shrug.
It’s not for the lack of me trying to play different games, it’s no one else wants to. And TvC does look fun, it’s just wii only and it’s too much trouble to get two wii sticks and even then it’s two people beating on everyone else because they don’t know any combos or haven’t had any chance to practice. If TvC was on ps3 i’d be on that as well, but capcom decided to have downs and we are where we are lol.
