Yes I made a Vewlix template for the SE. Read some of the early pages. Perhaps page 2 or 3.

I love that Samus template for the placement of the character but the background needs work. Obviously this depends on preference. If I were you, I’d use those statues from before holding up that button on the right and keep the background simple and black with a few small well-known enemies in it. That’d look tight.

Oh and drop those game box arts!

I’ve tried searching this thread, but does anyone here have those “ink blots/splatters” that people seem to be putting around each button? I’d love to throw that on my template. Thanks!

edit: and I’ve been reading that the templates in the first post will make white borders appear around the buttons, is there an improved template to remove this?

is the viper templat (the black/withe on of the earlyest ) avaible without button holes? i want change the button layout and produce a new frontpannel with those layout therefore i need the layout without holes but maybe the art around the holes…

i want to arrange the buttons at right angle and not slithly shifted

Have any of you tried hiding holes with plexiglass and artwork? Does that hold up pretty well? or will the holes eventually cut through the artwork

I was thinking about cutting plastic for my TE with 6 holes instead of making it with 8 and plugging 2.

not a problem, you can use 1/32 acrylic and then still get kinkos to laminate the artwork so that it has an added layer of protection.

Also sanding the sharp edges of the acrylic helps, or on my laser when i cut acrylic it does not leave a sharp edge like an exacto would.

DJBordie, do you offer a service for doing the artwork and transferring to the panels/paper? Those look amazing, I saw some of your earlier pictures in this thread too. I tried to send a PM to you asking about the details but I need 5 posts (lol).

I offer:

Kinko’s run for high quality print, lamination, adhesive
I then bring to my shop and cut the holes and outer edge on my laser, which gives a perfect sealed result. Can also do acrylic.
and shiping is included…

oh sweeeet, that’s perfect. Ok I’ll PM you for pricing. I guess I just need to come up with my own template for you to take to kinkos. I researched this forum and I think the best bet would be PDF format. I can’t remove those white borders around the buttons though and I’m aware of the issues they cause.
