You guys are over-thinking this. Just open it up in Illustrator and create a Live Trace of it. This will create a vector (scalable to any size without losing quality). Mess with the sliders until you’re satisfied with the result. Normally I don’t recommend using this tool, but the shapes are so simplistic here that it should render near-identical.
The printed outcome will be superbly clean.
If you’re not sure how to use Live Trace (trust me, it’s very easy), Google it.
Thanks for the illustrator tip - sounds like a winner. I got lots of little vector-appropriate shaped that I can do this to - I was going to look up how to convert to vector, but you saved me the trouble - thanks!
Hey people, I’m new here, getting back into SF cause of 4 and saw this thread here. I have made some SE temps’ and I am working on some TE ones…Let me know what you guys think…
Dikrodnum, I love the first two. The third one would maybe work better if the artwork was lower on the stick.
Oh, but a small suggestion for # 2: maybe some kind of very light background pattern on the right somewhere? Or maybe the all white background works, I don’t know.
So are you guys just editing the template with Photoshop and saving it to a flash drive and taking it to a print shop? Thats what I plan to do , any feed back would be killer. I kinda suck with Photoshop though, but if I can get it to print nice, it should work out ok I guess…
I can not seem to find any info on how to replace (or place over the original sticker) new art for the SE stick. I do not want to take the OG sticker off. I want to know if static paper or some sort of tacky paper would work.
