Im on EST and when i play nights i cant even finish one round in arcade without a new challenger coming in which is great. Non stop fights. hell sometimes when i want to stop for the night and hit pause to quit the game is hard, due to a new challenger which i just cant pass up!

Iām pretty sure its regional matchmaking for the most part: the game assumes you want to play someone with a good connection when youāre in arcade mode for example. However when youāre browsing for a game through Ranked or Player match all the games shown can be from any region, Iāve seen tons of people from Japan. When youāre searching for games, just specify āstabilityā as the search criteria and you should be good to go.
The downside to the GFWL system is that it assumes there are a lot of people playing in your area. Iām not sure how big the SF4 PC scene is in your area but it really depends on that.
Thatās odd. I think itās as many as ever. I can still get a good connection match within seconds by creating a game, and thereās a decent number of good ones if you do a search. And I seldom play the same person twice.
I guess it does depend on where you live.
Yep lots of games in Europe any time of the day. I actually play anyone with at least 2 bars and RARELY have lag/packet loss, even people with VARIABLE are like 1 in 100 now and much more pleasure playing with better people in G2 (Iām mediocre at best).
SF4 at itās best on PC in Europe at the moment from what Iāve seen :smokin:

Having said that, I played a hell of a lot of player matches against an American yesterday (GGs DeathsNvoy). Connection ranged from two to four bars throughout, but our matches were acceptable in terms of lag.
I havenāt had much problems finding a partner here either. When I open a lobby, after about 20 seconds there always joins a japanese with a green bar. And I mostly get owned. D:
I see why people wouldnāt like the matchmaking (especially compared to the standard of pc-games) but I havenāt had much problems with it yet, as long as I created a lobby.
Yeah Europe seems to be where it is at.
Always games to be had and only the odd perons I have to pm after a fight to āFIXā their frames.
east coast here, 90% of the people i see have 3 bars or less and itās really hard to get championship matches going.

Erhm, so I got the game, Itās pretty cool. My computer can run it without any frame drop if I donāt max out the settings and stuff, but there seems to be a moderate input delay. What would be the cause of this?
Linking, canceling and comboing is a pain since you have to buffer your input before you can hit confirm on some of them, and getting hit by random fireballs because I wasnāt holding block as itās moving forward from the middle of the screen can be pretty frustrating.
Is there a way to reduce it?
Well,get out of Championship mode. Only 100+ ppl in G1 right now(and all G1 players are from europe),what have you expected? You shouldāve been gathering good players in your friendlist during G2 and playing them now in player matches.
Iām playing from Spain currently and very rarely got matches with players from this country.
Lots of Asian players keep showing in matchmaker making me waste more time searching good fights than playing! Some matches with USA people are playable, but its impossible to play with Japanese / Korean / Chinese really.
Why I cannot limit from what countries players are showing up in the game? Why not limit the list to Germany, France, Spain, UK, etcā¦ European countries?

You can. Custom match - Language priority.
I think the game needs Shader Model 3.0 videocard and your Radeon does not support it. Anyways you will not like how the game would be performing in your computer. You can build a new one very cheaply.
Always thought that option was for other thing. But sometimes I checked āenglishā player profiles because they have 1-bar network and it says they are Chinese. 
I want a filter for displaying more than one country not by language really. Europeans first and USA/Russia after them.
From Netherlands here, do I have to setup something to have good matches?
Like something with ports? Quicksearch always gives me Japaneses, Koreans or other laggers with language turned on Englishā¦
