The "Official" Street Fighter 4 PC Thread (read first post)

I agree, asus makes good stuff. I always get my motherboards from them

This one has a 9800M as well. I wonder how well it would run SFIV…

I was recommended this…

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/asp/versions.asp?rewrite=MSI_GT627-246UK_Quad_Core_Laptop_GT627-246UK&pagetype=version&page

9800M is the mobile version of a 9800GT which is very capable of playing SF4, dont confuse it with the 9400 or 9500 which is garbage, the 9600 though is also capable of playing SF4.

Im sure that laptop can run it on high with probably even 8XCSAA.

EDIT: that msi laptop should do the job, the asus ones are attractive because they offer several versions with better processors. expect to pay top dollar though especially for a “gaming” laptop.

I get super lag spikes that end up getting me disconnected, and people are thinking im disconnecting on purpose. This same lag spike happens on GGPO, but I never get disconnected. is there anything I can do to improve it? My computer is wireless and in the basement… so that might be it…

Quite disappointed in G2… difficult to get games w/ decent connection.

alright… i just got sf4 PC… just open and look at it. havent install yet.

who here can take me step by step to get steam and shit.
i need some friends on here too. but i need to know how to install this shit before making my nametag. LETS GOOO ^^

the gpu is not overcloked…i usually play at 1024*768 all max,no filters and it’s 60fps stable.I’m happy with that, the game looks excellent!

If you got the retail version you don’t need steam, and can use GWFL for friends.

hey thx for the help.

im only asking cuz i dont want this shit call securom or w/e. i just go for it n put the cd into the hardrive to install.:wonder:

hopefully thats not how i’ll be getting securom?

i’ll have my name tag soon ^^ yay. hope i could get get some games in with ya’ll. as soon as i find a way to use my mas stick for pc :frowning:

Thanks, I misread that GPU spec.

From my experience, MSI has always made decent, if not fantastic, mobos.

WTF… i just install n play a quick game with the computer…

Hey guys iam looking for more opponents on PC. I record all casual matchups and stick em on my youtube channel.

17 shipped

When I save a replay, where does it go? Is it on some Live server where I can access it? I’m not sure how this system works.

TIA.

Its a little bit cheaper to get ethernet cables from monoprice

bit of a noob askin this but is there any way of recording from the pc via fraps which doesnt require a high amount of rescources? fraps seems viable for all my other games but i take a big hit on sf4 even when i lower my settings to fraps videos.

edit: maybe something like this would work on my pc? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116030

I can only think this is because of the date release difference, resulting of most of the people in G2 so far being from a good solid distance from where you are…
