I’m too impatient to be waiting 5-8 minutes in Ranked, Player or Championship for a fight so to who ever is interested, my gamertag is egotism. Save me from the constant Ryus and jump-back Kens and lets have some good games.

Getting black screen… arrgghh…
Hey guys, I can’t play SFIV since the very beginning starting from the benchmark. I tried AA on or off, fullscreen on or off, different resolutions, display v-synch on or off and parallel rendering on or off (not sure what this does) but I still get that annoying black screen problem.
Here is my setup:
Acer Aspire 5100
AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6 GHz
Windows XP
4 gig DDR (minus DDR for video card)
ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 (256 MB assigned in BIOS)
15 GB free space on 43 GB HD spaces on C drive
I have the newest video drivers. I know my video card sucks and maybe that’s why I can’t see the fights but I can see stuff like the startup logos, option backgrounds, menu backgrounds, anime scenes for each character, the subtitles and I can even see the “Press start Player 2” blinking on top right of the screen. I hear everything and I can play the game but off course without seeing anything.
Is there something else I can do? Or I’ll have to rely on another system to play the game?

Plus it’s so frustrating cause I can play the game at around 50 fps with lowest settings although I’m not sure if I would get that if there were graphics since the video is probably not really processing anything or is it? I won a blind folded game with Ken against Blanka 
So while grasping at straws to figure out a way to solve my lag issues I left my house hovering over the windows wireless connection to see it fluctuating from 54mbps to 48 to 36 and back up again. I’m running some odd linksys x64 drivers for WMP54g V1 wireless NIC. I’m seriously contemplating moving back down to XP32 Pro from 64 and more stable wireless drivers to help my situation.
My question is will I have to unlock everything if I restore the \My Docs\Capcom folder after reformat? I mean, will the game repickup the save file when I reinstall it through Steam? I don’t want to unlock chars again. ;l

does anybody have a lag issue with the sf4 arcade stick? its weird when i go to training mode there seems to be a little lag on the arcade stick( i am using the xbox usb sf4 stick). But for some reason if i use my cheap 10 dollar controller theres no lag on it, can any1 help me?
lol How can I run the Benchmark tool and get 6.5 FPS when I have a MacBook that runs XP like the wind?

I also lose sound if I alt+tab out of full screen mode
And now it just crashed out when I tried to play a game online. I got as far as pressing ‘ready’ in the lobby.
This is a box fresh laptop with XP on it and nothing else. I bought it to play SF4 on. lol
Edit: Wow this is fucking horrible. I have turned everything onto low. EVERYTHING onto low. It looks like an old 3d game on the Atari Jaguar and the backgrounds are just black. And it is still lagging HORRIFICALLY. This is unplayable.
IF there is anybody out there who is altruistic enough to let me add them on IM and go through this piece of shit game so I can actually get it running properly you would be my hero.

Did you honestly think it would run well on such a device? I hear Vista windows rating nets an overall rating of 2.8 on that machine. That’s fucking terrible. Like, holy-shit-my-PC-sucks-balls-for-gaming terrible.
I hate to be harsh, but even if you DID get it to run, it would be terrible and unplayable I bet.
It sounds like you have a pos pc man either that or your connection blows to get fps as bad as you claim.
there is. i followed a method i saw a video for on youtube. i’m at work now nad cant view youtube, but search youtube for something like ‘unlock everything street fighter 4’.
You don’t buy “box fresh” laptops to play games. Laptops SUCK for games (unless their $2000+ gaming laptops, and even then not a financially good idea)
You guys DO know that there are requirements for the game right? That you can’t just buy any old laptop an play sf4 right?
For further reference:
I have a MacBook. It is box fresh. We stuck boot camp and XP on there. It has nothing else on it.
It is an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0, NVideo 9400m graphics card, 2 GB Ram. It should easily run the game. I am not even trying to play it online. The thing runs in super slowmo in Arcade mode. It took a full minute to load up into Training Mode. It goes into slow down on the Character Select screen. I tried running it with everything set to low, it made no difference. Ryu vs Sakura in the Benchmark was pulling in 6.5 FPS with a black background and no shading effects on the sprites.
There’s something fundamentally wrong which must be able to be sorted out, but I am a retard when it comes to computers and need someone to tell me what to do. If you can hold my hand through the process I’ll paypal you 10 dollars here and now for your efforts.

Ya seriously. I cant believe someone who is knowledgeable of a forum like this, or even PC gaming in general doesn’t understand why the game doesn’t run. He probably uses the keyboard too.
