The "Official" Street Fighter 4 PC Thread (read first post)

I have a fast system but it was happening to me also because my AA was set to 8 and was clogging my system at random times, not specifically during high action either. 4x AA is fine now, all smooth at 60fps.

Hmm i tried fixed frame rate and i was still getting slow down when the frames dropped.

Based on my experience, I would recommend turning AA off all together in the game. Then go into your drivers and override SF4’s settings there. I went from having choppy fps using the 8x AA setting in game, to being able to have 24x AA using the drivers with 60fps average.

Apparently there’s no in-game text chat.

That irritates me.

Variable Framerate, AA OFF, Vsync ON, Motion Blur OFF.
Close firefox when you’re playing, and other programs that take lot of ram.

Are the DLC costumes available for the PC version? I don’t remember.

Pre-loading now, whee.

Here’s to hoping someone will post their save game file after unlocking everything…

\My Documents\CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV\xxxxxxxxxxxxx\save.dat

Tried this with a friend, said “Save data corrupted”

no p2p option, no lobbys, no in game text chat

fml, its better then nutin i suppose.

no point to leaving v sync on (well little point), turn it off for better performance (old pc games trick for like every game)

You can send messages in game, dont know what ppl are talking about, it basically works exactly the same as xbox live but on windows.

But you can’t chat in real-time like on GGPO.

Just use a xbox compatible pad/stick with the mic and chat like you were playing on the console version.

anyone able to set the PS3 Home button to be the windows live home button (on the PS3 TE stick)?

Yes but most of my opponents don’t have mics.

So I opened up my StreetFighterIV.exe.cfg file and saw this nested in it:

<enableCrossPlatformSystemLink>false</enableCrossPlatformSystemLink>

Whats that all about?

Probably in the cfg of all GFWL games. I doubt enabling it will do anything.

i have some issues also, you cant mute that j-pop crp even when you turn it down fully the music is still audible, why ddi’nt they integrate a ingame music player for us to play our own tunes.

im really pissed at the fact i cant mute the original music, its liek its forced on us.

Just a theory but you could probably find the song in the files and remove it or replace it with something else.

it can be fixed with a patch, and no inbuilt music player is very sloppy indeed.

no lobbies , no spectate , txt chat features ingame < features getting saved for next edition of SF.

why do you think capcom did not address these issues and its been months we have been telling them the same thing.

oh shit…i didn’t even know this was on pc. i need to get back on the loop.
