Ugh, I was really excited about this until I ran the benchmark and saw it ran like butt. I guess I was overdue for an upgrade anyway…
Google search confirms it. Alot of GFWL games have it. Often times with games that are not cross/compatible.
Still a few little issues it looks from teh above posts, but overall the arcade perfectness is spot on, something never achieved on PC before. Super Turbo for PC anyone
wait a minute you can’t even mute the music??? so console players can turn down the volume to zero… but you’re saying PC users can’t do this? Thats absurd!
It’s either Capcom is just really shitty in the extra features department… or this is all part of their master conspiracy plan to include these features in later DLC that we pay for. This is like the IN thing to do when making games these days: release an unfinished game, and incorporate more user payments to pay for future updates so it LOOKS like capcom is LISTENING to its customers. But really they are just hiding these features and nice things to just sell it to us later for a more expensive price.
Look at world of warcraft. If any of you played that game long enough, you start to realize they delay things, and hold back on basic things just to keep you playing longer.
Look at Dawn of War 2. The release of that game didnt even include a 2v2 option but it included 1v1 and 3v3??? the replays they offered didnt even allow you to fast forward until recently.
Sorry for the off topic rant but this is a damn conspiracy and there’s nothing we can do about it!
How is no “inbuilt music player” counted as “sloppy”? I can’t even recall another game that has that, it’s hardly a standard feature :wtf:
Yeah but you did not pay for any of the patches in DoW2, i mean yeah it didn’t come with 2v2 out of the box but you still got it for free. So adding that to your rant is moot.
Correct we did not pay money, but in the end it makes players think that the company cares about the players and listens to the community, and dont get me wrong, they do sorta listen to the community, quite a bit actually, but the fact still remains that they clearly held back on basic basic features to just make it seem that they went above and beyond for us.
What does this do in the end? It develops a trust to the company and when the company makes a new game that is half decent, you know what? players will buy it because they thought Relic has so many updates and listens to players.
The unsuspecting player clearly wont pay with their money but surely will pay with their trust. It’s simply false trust.
you idiot ,
gtaIV has an inbuilt music player, a no holds bared replay system and is far more of a complex game.
if a xbox360 & ps3 can do it why did they not include or programme something to enable us to play our own songs,
no music player and the fact you cannot mute that j-pop crap is ridiculous.
even when you turn it down fully, im hoping for a patch to fix this.
maybe your a fan of the soundtrack, i hate the soundtrack and would far prefer playing classic street fighter tunes from my personal collection mixed with some hiphop classics.
if the console version you can play your own music , why the hell cant i with the best version of the game.
the port is great in terms of graphics (the new filters ink especially look great)but in terms of key features it gets a thumbs down for me.
no lobbies. no spectate options , no ingame txt, cannot save offline replays for personal collection, no ingame music player,
basically the core is the xbox game with better graphics and filters and apart from that everythings else is the exact same, even the dreadful online system.
i think its lazy on capcoms behalf and mark my words the features listed as not being in the game will be highlighted featres of the upcoming SFIV game.
Now be gone with you
i agree, but alot of times developers get rushed to put things out and it would be better to release and work on patches for business sake. but i do totally agree.
Been lurking the SRK forums now for a few months since sf4 showed up on the scene.
Fell in love with the game when I came over to my friend’s house to session. Unfortunately I’m a PC gamer and I don’t own either a 360 or a Ps3, but due to my addiction to this game I almost broke down and bought a 360 just to get SF4 until I found out there was a release slated for the PC on july 7th. A few painstaking months have passed by and my patience has almost come to fruition
Also I am by no means a veteran of fighting games. So here’s to me getting my feet wet in something new…CHEERS.
you’re making a mountain out of a hill. and going off for no reason, and just because one other game has it doesn’t make it a standard.
i can understand the not being able to turn the sound down it sucks. but it’s no reason to flip on.
Why can’t you turn the sound off and just have itunes/winamp running in the background? Which music can’t you turn off specifically, the intro music?

look here and you would think you would not hear a thing, but it still plays and is so annoying
i have set it all the way down, and that j-pop is still audible.
its the intro music stage music it controls it all, but does not work properly, as you cannot mute it fully, its just reduces the volume a few db but is clearly audible.
Okay so we’re stuck with faint j-pop for the menu screen. But what about in an actual match? Is the stage music also faintly audible?
yes thats what i am saying, thats my biggest complaint, i cant play music with media player/itunes /winamp because the stage music is still audible.
I know they weren’t making any significant changes to matchmaking for the PC, but can you at least autokick (or the equivalent) people who join with bad connections or high disconnect percentages? With the barebones matchmaking on PSN, having to kick 6 people with one-bar connections before I get somebody with… two bars is probably the biggest annoyance.
has anyone got a PS3 TE stick working, I can’t seem to get the joystick to work, whereas the buttons do
Have you seen the thread in the hardware forum about this? Last I checked, because of the proprietary Intel USB interface Madcatz used to make the sticks, your mobo has to be Intel- or Via-branded for PS3 sticks to work properly on the PC. If you don’t have an Intel- or Via-branded mobo, you can buy a PCI USB card that’s compatible with that standard. (There’s a few on Newegg for under $10; the thread itself goes into more detail.)
If you have the right hardware and the stick isn’t working… I dunno.
XBCD+ Drivers work great for SE/TE sticks. just look for the thread.
Are the alternate costumes available? Is it going to be DLC in the form of an unlock key? I’m hoping someone can reverse engineer this shit. A Rufus nude patch would be the greatest thing since… since… actually it would be shit but I’d still like to SFIV get hacked and modded to Kingdom come.
