Make sure you have it on half screen and not full screen, that should solve the problem.
Is there a quick rundown of the game types anywhere… and the point system?
CP, BP and GP… G3-E G2 ??? What is the point of championship ? You still just get to play a random person plucked from the net…
I’ve only ever played Player Match, and replayed the same person over and over til one of us get bored of taking an online pasting… Trying to get in my head, what’s the point of championship and ranked match? Why have both championship and ranked?

I wish I had such a reliable way of recording matches on the PC as I do on the 360. I tried using Fraps, but even on my fastest system (E8500 @ 3.5ghz/8800GTX) it drops the frame rate so low it’s unplayable. Does anyone have any suggestions other than upgrading?
I haven’t installed SFIV on the HTPC yet, but I guess that would be my only option since it passes through my recording device (Hava) on it’s way to the display.
Just curious, Has anyone tried to broadcast any matches over Xfire’s Live broadcast feature. I was playing around with it earilyer and i broadcasted to a friend of mine who was just watching me play over xfire. Perhaps that can be a temporary fix for the lobby issue, get in there and speculate some of the best players around.
I’ll experiment more with it later.

With FRAPS you want to lower the resolution until it’s smooth. I can’t get smooth 1680x1050 recordings even on “half-size” but I can get constant 60 FPS at 1280x720 (720p) on full size.
Has anyone mentioned the “Fixed” vs. “Variable” setting yet in this thread? Someone on the Steam forums found that if everyone sets their framerate to “Fixed,” you’ll avoid the slow-motion match problem. Problem is, I believe the game’s default setting is variable, which sucks.
Had a few flipbook-esque matches last night…was not fun at all.
Does anyone know how to turn aracde request mode off? I just got the game so I didn’t unlock any characters and every time I try to play arcade I get a barrage of incoming requests.
Edit Status takes care of this (the same menu where you change your icon, etc…I think it’s the RB button or something?).
hey folks… anyone having trouble signing into live? Apparently thats the only way to save your progress which is bullcrap
I had trouble for a couple days straight but it doesn’t give me any now. Dunno what fixed it.
I’m sure there are people out there who don’t read any forums and won’t see it. Message people after the match through GWFL with what to do and they’ll probably thank you for it, I’m sure they don’t like the slo-mo either. I’ve gotten a few thanks already.
Really was a bonehead move by Capcom to not default to fixed (or have the choice at all). What is the point of variable if it can slow down the game so badly like that? Can it also speed up the game to hyper/turbo mode if both players are getting 75 FPS?
Yea, it seems like a setting with no benefits and only flaws. I hope they fix it in a tech patch or something.

My copy of SF4 PC will play perfectly, but then it’ll randomly start taking up 100% of my CPU which kills the framerate down to like 4fps. My PC is more than great, does anyone know why it’d do this? It doesn’t happen offline, only online. Also let me restate, its RANDOM. I really can’t put a finger on what it might be
My D/C rate is already like 8% because I have to close out matches when it happens :sad:
