The "Official" Street Fighter 4 PC Thread (read first post)

I just edited the first post with similar information.

Edit: Thinking about it. It’s really annoying how the tournaments use PS3 sticks but the PC version works flawlessly with the x360 sticks. /rant

If your PS3 TE dont work… buy a Via Pci Usb card on e bay or your local computer/hardware shop… costs from 1-15 bucks…
Make sure its Via chipset on the usb controller… Via= Intel = ps3 Te will work…

Thats all there is to it…

The Cpu,GPU,PSU has nothing to do with it… Its called USB controllers… and it has to be intels… witch is Via

whats up with the frame drops when playing online … on a perfect green connection btw…
after 3 matches online i just closed it … FYI game run perfectly offline

I think it’s when you play against stupid people who has crappy computers and doesn’t have “fixed framerate” enabled.
I’ve faced like two of them so far, really annoying. You just want to plug in a mic and scream at them to get their act together :grrr:

Wow … like i wasnt even able to input ables COD or even a hado with ryu … for a minute i was like wow wtf is somtin up with my stick … nope wrks fine on console and in offline everything was connecting … i hope capcom fixes this shit :s kinda shitty

my windows live won’t sign in. what’s the port for this crap? :frowning:

Holy input lag.

As a Viper player, over 50% of my matches have been completely unplayable, even when facing 4 and 5 bar players.

alot of input lag issues are from your own hardware setups and not the game.

if you are playing on vista/win 7 try playing the game with the classic mode theme instead of aero. also tone down your video settings and screen resolution.

Any one else seem to have really quiet in game audio except for the cut scenes?

Exactly. This really should be the default and only option for online play. I played a 5 bar match that was basically a slideshow. Eventually these people are going to wise up or stop playing, but until then it can be a rather frustrating experience.

Sorry to ask, but i’ve read “rumors” and I’m not sure…

The ps3 online and the Xbox online are separate, they can’t play cross plataform…

But i’ve read that the PC Steam version and the PC normal version (with it’s dvd and such) are in a separate network too, so if i have the Steam pc version i can’t play with a friend that bought the game in a traditional store !?!?!?
Is this true, or PC version is all together no matter where you buy the game?

All PC players play with eachother, its the same platform/version ect. only difference between Steam and StoreBought is the DRM they both use and that one is downloaded and the other is a hard copy of the game.

Same goes for the other digital download distributors like Impulse and Direct2Drive.

Anyone else having problems with sound when you plug in either a se or te stick? When I plug mine in the sound gets jacked up you can hear static…

Anyone have suggestions?

I’m on the wall about buying this as there are so many complaints about online lag and input lag. I’d also like this on a disk but can’t find a store (target, walmart, bestbuy, gamestop) near me that has it and they don’t know if it is coming it at all. I’d get it from steam but a lot of people having problems with it as well. I dunno, I may wait until things calm down before I purchase it online.

It’s tough to say at the moment. Some players have great success with the game and some have nothing but complaints. If you have a great computer and a great connection playing against someone with the same then your resultant games will be spectacular. It would play just like an xbox or PS3.

Since people don’t all have the same computers/connections we are going to have to deal with this crap I suppose.

Realization: +1 for consoles standardizing hardware…lulz

AFAIK, the Steam problems have been resolved.

Dude, the 9600gt is a good little card.

I would be shocked if it can’t play this game.

If you’re gonna buy another card, get another 9600! 2 of those are one of the most efficient sli configurations you can have! I had 2 of those and I was getting better benchmarks than my roomate’s 8800 ultra.

what do you mean no point? What about screen tear, which looks JUST NASTY on any LCD. Which is probably 90% of screens today…

I’d say VSYNC is probably the most essential setting to have on.

I think he means the Ati Radeon 9600… which are many generations behind.
8k series, 9k series, HD 2000, HD 3000, HD 4000.

oh… damn.

Looks like he’s gonna have to pony up for a new one.
