Any word on net play? Equal or better then the console counterparts?

TIA.

just played a few championship mode games overall online play isn’t so bad as long as the other player doesn’t have fps drop i mean it isn’t totally ruining the game, but it sure is ruining my damn inputs T_T can’t complain since i don’t own a console to play this D:

So, in my opinion it’s been really good for me.

Thus far I’ve had no problem finding 4 and 5 bar connections and all the gameplay is just as smooth as the console versions provided your opponent’s computer doesn’t incur any slowdown during the fight. I’m almost tempted to start working on finding some global settings that users can set to keep online play smooth for the most part, if that’s possible.

Going from 512mb to 1gb generally doesn’t affect things much unless you’re playing high res (at least 1680x1050) or playing certain games with heavy textures. Otherwise, 512mb is usually enough. Of course, 1gb future-proofs it just a little.

That being said, the 4670 is a better buy than the 4650. The best value in video cards are found at or near the middle. The really cheap cards and the really expensive ones aren’t really worth it. The 4670 is probably considered low-mid.

If your PSU (power supply) is decent, I’d go for better than a 4670, unless all you plan on playing is SF4 for the foreseeable future. If it’s stock (like 300W or something), the 4670 is the best, safest bet for the price.

Might as well cop the 1gig version since the price isnt that much higher compared to the 512mb.

Thanks all.

anybody know if you can use a madcatz xbox fight pad with the pc version

…yes

Since the controller is USB, I don’t see why not.

Im running my game with a solid 60 fps. Im using a 7800 GTX 512 of ram and I have no problems

1920 1200 high models and background, low everything else. No issues with FPS lag.

Im surprised at how well this runs honestly.

ps2 controller with a Usb converter, thats hard to find out all the buttons really…
i cant seem to find out :stuck_out_tongue: R3 = start and my D pad is now Hard kicks and punshes… and non of the Cross, Square, circle buttons work… non of the sugestions 1-5 work… you have to make your own…

Has anyone tested the fightstick and fightstick TE on PC? What about the 360 fightpads? I know they’re USB, but I want to hear that they’ve been tested and work with plug and play.

If you’ve tested any or all of these successfully, did you notice any input lag?

Works fine.

My TE and fightpad work fine, no input lag.

Thanks for the quick reply. Another question:

is the regular madcatz fightstick as bad as all the reviews say? Will it really break in a week?

edit: fight stick, not fight pad

The Madcatz stock parts for SE blow.

Replace stick and button w/ sanwa and you’re set.

Jebus. I’m going to have to edit the first post so everyone stops asking silly questions.

Even though I did say the TE works fine in the first post so that shows who reads it…

The SE fightstick is not sporting the best parts. The washer was fixed and lasts longer if not indefinitely. The buttons are knockoff Sanwa and, frankly, suck. They do work though.

Stop Calling it Fight Stick, it’s only Stick…

All TE PS3/360 , CE PS3/360, SF4 Fight Pads 360/PS3, all USB controls work without lag on PC… I use a PS2>USB adapter with my hrap2sa and i don’t notice any lag.
It’s not like, SF4 for PC only works for certain pads and sticks… it’s a pc game like all others, you can play with a logitech pad if you want…

sir yes sir

thanks for the replies guys, my questions have been answered, and now I shall have to decide whether it’s worth pissing my wife off by getting a TE

yeah np, sorry if i sounded rude.

oh and, i recommend you, if you want the TE just for PC usage, go for the 360 version, because, as the 360 pad, the TE stick get’s detected right away, but if you want to use it later on a PS3, the PS3 version has an issue where the TE doesn’t get detected.

You need to have a Intel chipset in order to ur TE beign detected, not very sure but this means you need to have a CPU of Intel Pentium, Intel Celeron, Intel Core Duo, Intel Quad Core etc etc.
If you have AMD, then i read somewhere lol, buying a PCI USB card (a card with extra USB ports) fixes the problem.

So, go for 360 version, PS3 if in future you plan getting a ps3, but make sure you have intel cpu.
