Got the steam version…won’t load URGH

If you’re having any steam problems, you should try exiting STEAM and opening it up again, it fixed my original problem and seems to help other people.

Perhaps you computer just plain sucks. Who knows.

Try controller profile #2 from the launcher.

From the launcher, go to Controller Settings, and bottom left, there’s a textbox, it says custom, change it to Controller Type 2.
That should make ur PS3 pad/stick work.

does any specific ports need to be open/forwarded to be able to connect to players?

like 3 out of 5 guys i try to connect to give me 1 out of 2 errors “cannot play this player” or “this game is now full”

is this normal? also searching takes about 15-30 seconds for me.

alright soo…how do i know if it supports shader?..is that what openGL version it is?

Well, you could just look up the tech specs for your card, or just tell us what model it is. Should be fairly easy right off the top of my head.

People get “taken” pretty quickly(“game is now full”), and some have routers.

Try creating your own game and wait for someonw instead of browsing for someone elses game, saved me lots of time and work finding a match.

Or you could try turning on that thing that lets you be challenged during arcade mode. Good grief, I couldn’t make it past the first loading screen without getting challenged. Seriously, I was planning on playing arcade mode with occasional interruptions of challenges, but after the third time I didn’t even get to start the first arcade match, I turned it of lol.

lol…well if i knew how to look for it i think it would make it alot easier on all of us :stuck_out_tongue: so i wouldnt have to keep posting video cards and such…

My advise is just to give up on ur computer…

You don’t know what kind of video card you have? (Chances are, it’s old and outdated.)

Go to “run” (or search from the Start button in Windows) and type in dxdiag. On the Display tab, it should tell you what kind of card you have. If you didn’t specifically buy a computer with one or install it yourself, chances are, it’s an integrated card. No integrated card on the market would probably be able to run SF4. Most budget computers come with integrated graphics, not a real dedicated video card.

i already told you all i had a 9600 which doesnt support it…

what im asking is how would i tell what card IF I BUY ONE…can support it…what do i look for?

/agreed

HRAP2:SA Working on SFIV PC

Hi all…

Im here to report that my HRAP2:SA works lagfree (tested with lagtestor) on my PC with the Super Joy Box 3. For all users looking for a good PS2 -> PC converter, the Super Joy Box 3 is the one for you. (The converter doesn`t work on the PS3).

I know this post should probably be in the Converter Compability Thread, but i thought this info would be useful for those who are now playing Street Fighter IV on the Pc and want a good converter.

can u use an xbox fight pad with the pc?

does it run well on 512mb cards?

Ah sorry, forgot about that. Pretty much any card that isn’t ancient has it.

Problem is, you might have an AGP board. In that case, it probably honestly is better to build a new system rather than swapping out mobo, etc.

If you have PCI-express, here’s the link I was going to recommend:

But you probably can’t use those cards, not to mention a PSU upgrade would most likely be necessary. Sorry man. :frowning:

That’s a very general way to describe a video card. Some 512mb cards would blaze through the game easily, others might not. But most likely, yes. (I’m starting to wish this were like computer forums where everyone lists their specs in their sig lol…hard to pry information.)

Ah sorry was planning on getting a radeon hd 4650 ddr3 512mb but should i go for a 1gig 4670 instead?

Well I’ve got it maxed out with 2xAA/8xAF on a 512MB card. So long as you get a newer one you’ll be fine.

How much are you willing to spend? The HD 4670 would be better of course.
