^^ I’ve never heard of .csb either but you could try to download a freeware audio editor like Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and see if the files will open up there. If you’re lucky and they do, Audacity will allow you to edit and join files.

Anyone complaining about not being able to use their own music really hasn’t been playing PC games for a very long time, obviously. There’s no need for them to link the game to Windows Media Player (being the only proprietary first-party playback program available) because your PC can multitask!
Alt+tab, download Winamp and fire it up! Then set some Hotkeys for changing tracks if you don’t want to have to keep switching window focus. There’s even a Winamp plugin (old, but might be updated or a newer one available) that displays an overlay whenever it changes tracks (or use Voice-Overlay and a winamp plugin for Ventrilo). Welcome to the late 90’s.
You can’t fully mute the games music, that’s what i hate.

I know this game has a lack of a proper way to record replays, but I’ve found that using FRAPS to record @ 30FPS provides me with a perfectly playable framerate, and smooth video playback when I’m done recording. Anyone been able to get FRAPS to record gameplay @ 60FPS without slowdown?
Uh, no harm intended, but I really need help fixing that black health bar. Can you please help me with it before you trail off on another subject?

Have you tried reinstalling? Are your video drivers up to date?
Well this is the problem. The video included in my laptop (Once again, GeForce Go 6150) is no longer supported by NVIDIA or HP (The company that manufactured my laptop), and the latest driver update is from 2006. Is there any other way I can update the video?

If it’s no longer supported I would say no. Does that card meet the minimum specs? It doesn’t sound like it does.

Hey i also have a p4 with a decent agp vid card but it means the cpu is mainly the bottleneck, so you can turn up the settings that aren’t cpu intensive; models, soft shadows iirc. Try upping them i think they might not hinder your performance really at all. Also make sure paralell rendering is off, texture rendering is off, v sync is off and all those other settings are off (low isnt the lowest for most off is). Also dont have any youtube pages opened in the backgorund or any cpu intensive background programs. I found only havign a youtube video opened in the background, even if it wasn’t running cost me 10 frames. Im on xp btw. Anyways hope that helps.
i tried with parallel rendering off and it slowed the game down like crazy.

Hmm this is sorta random but you could try maxing out the RAM on your laptop if it’s not maxed yet.
Well I didn’t want to have to do this unless it was absolutely necessary, but it looks like I’m going to have to play without the HUD, so my screen won’t appear glitched. Thanks for the help though.

Have you tried moving the HUD items to a different part of the screen? You can do that in the options. See if that works for you.
Already tried that. Didn’t work.
like i said, check your graphic settings, if you got mipmap and other settings on low that could maybe fudge the hud up. (windows settings ofc, not ingame.)
just checking; anyone managed to play against a xbox user?

I can get it at 60fps if I do it at 720p windowed and have Fraps do it at “half-size”

my 3 test vids from today
the first one is “full-size” but apparently that only works in training mode where nothing’s happening in the background
This has been asked to death. There is no cross-platform play. Sorry. :wonder:
Games for Windows LIVE and XBOX LIVE have similar names, but that’s about it. Only games like Shadowrun, which were designed for that purpose, allow PC gamers to play with XBOX gamers.

The thing with the sound is… not an issue … atleast not for me… cause i have to turn my Receiver up 35-45 to even hear it …
and if you play a song at 20-30 it will over ride it and make my house tremble and Jiggle with joy… so no… but thats just me…
Even at 20-30 its to low to even notice… it has to be dead Silent to hear it…
To the person with the 6150 go laptop. You video card is why you can’t see health bars.
forthright55:
This works to some extent but unfortunately the music keeps cutting out towards the end of a fight and all you get is silence - I think it’s when the health bars get quite low. This is when the faster (more dramatic) bit of music would normally start playing to indicate the fight was close to finishing, however in the rival fights this doesn’t actually happen (the same piece of music continues playing from the start of the fight to the end). It seems as though the game still wants to start playing this faster piece of music towards the end of the fights but perhaps the rival *.csb files don’t contain it, so instead you don’t hear anything.
You can use tools on this page to help you. The audio I checked extracts to .aax files:
