You could give the benchmark a go anyway at least, it might work with the right settings.
Yeah I did that actually.
It gave me a D rank…
=/
SCORE: 10994
AVERAGE: 38.12FPS
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
CPU: AMD Phenom™ II X4 940 Processor
Memory: 3327MB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 3300 Graphics
Video Memory: 700MB
Display Setting: 1280x1024 60Hz
This is with all settings on low, IIRC… Now that I think about it, might try to run it at 800x600 and see how it goes.
So I have the game up and running now. It’s interesting to note that it performs much better than the benchmark would have you believe.
When I ran the benchmark I had to turn everything right down to get an A rating - I figured that’s how I would have to play the game. In fact the real game lets you choose ‘fixed framerate’ which means that it runs at the correct speed and drops frames where necessary to keep things going. The settings that I’m running at the moment get me a D rating with an average of 38 fps, but it looks just as smooth as the PS3 version.
For interest’s sake:
New 13" macbook pro running Windows 7 RC1. 4GB RAM. Backgrounds low, character models mid, anti-aliasing off, v-sync on, resolution 720p.
lol @ macbook
EDIT: nvm
I recommend people with a setup that can easily handle SFIV:
Vsync on/off, FPS variable/fixed. No matter what.
But to the guys with a crap setup:
Vsync off, FPS fixed.
Thanks.
Installing at the moment. I hope now there won’t be the high fps drop that I had every 5-6 games.
My VGA is ATI 4870 HD, got 4 GB RAM and 1.8 ghz dual core cpu.
Weird?
Looks like I saved my self about a hundred bucks.
Turns out I can make the game playable, but I need to turn the resolution down to 600x480 or 720x480.
It looks like ass, but it’ll do.
anyone else having problems doing combos ?
I haven’t been able to do dp fadc into ultra with ryu nearly as much as on 360 :S and I’m using the same stick.
I played with a friend of mine last night on my house and he always picked Ryu. He didn’t faced a problem with him…
FWIW, saw a deal today on the 4870 for $105, which is about $40 less than they usually go for:
Not really hard to mash dp into Ultra so its understandable
Problem? I hope it was a patch to remove it
If y’all are missing inputs you might want to overclock the USB polling frequency
I would post a link but I’m on my iPod, google search should do it
Does anyone know how to improve input/response of a keyboard?
dunno if thats possible, but it would be great it is! :lovin:
What do you mean? It’s not as responsive as you desire it to be?
Well, Im not sure, but I want to 360 and 720 easily without having to hold a key a bit longer than the other.
BTW, 2 bars connection aint bad at all.
4/5 bars felt perfect, just like offline
2/3 bars felt the same, no input lag or screenlag whatsoever.
1 bar, uhm dunno, noone with 1 bar wanted to play with me.
Whats up with that, I didnt notice lag at all…
And yet you want to improve your keyboard input delay:rofl:
What do you mean about 360’s and “holding a key”? What are you holding?
To input 360, I’ll need to press i.e. A>S>D>W+P
When I just press that, the move wouldnt come out.
But when I hold A a little bit longer and then press S>D>W+P pretty quickly, it will come out.
My desire is to input 360 by pressing A>S>D>W+P without any hassle. :pleased:
i had no problem of imput delay or whiffing imputs, i using a lptswitch based stick
By the way, I can confirm as well that, on online matches, the fps matches the one player with the lowest PC.
Sucks.
