Bowser’s crouching low> everything in the game…
It is nice, but considering Bowser is bottom tier. Pretty much everyone is better than him, except Pichu and Mewtwo.
Not true, Bowser’s been moving up. I use him as one of my secondaries now, and many people are seeing that he has much more potential than he was given in the past. The only characters currently in bottom tier or Pichu and Mewtwo.
Can someone make a tier list of the original smash bros? Ive been playing that a few times this week but having difficulty winning. I use to use Link but since one of my friend uses him i try not to. Started usking Kirby to counter one friend always choosing Samus and that charge shot and other using Falcon but it seems Kirby is incredibly light so it doesnt take much for him to fly off the stage.
They also only chose the Hyrule level but i like the one with the acid or at least something that affects the gameplay incase someone makes a mistake.
**u know i have been playing bowser sense the begining, and do okay. though i’m no expert i always have the most smash in the games a play. even though still most people play stock so it really doesn’t matter.

His ^+B and F-Smash are awesome.
i have problems using kirby in this game hes to slow i perfer the original smash brothers =P
I think the tiers were something like:
Top: Kirby, Pikachu
Mid: Ness, then everyone else
Bottom: Link, Luigi
Yeah bowser in Stock isn’t so great…
He’s such a big luscious target…
But in Time and Bonus Point games he is a beast…
I’m sticking with Mewtwo after some time messing around with them. He really isn’t great, but for some reason, I feel comfortable playing with him. After reading this thread, i’m gonna take it he’s bottom tier? It’s ok, it’ll be a fun and interesting uphill battle for me. I play him a runaway type character, and I’m gonna go check on the smashboards to read up on what other people play him as. Any tips for him, like any BnB’s?
His Neutral Air has a lot of priority, use that in short hops a lot or to safely get back on the stage.
His Upsmash is great also. He can cancel his double jump, creating some nice mix-ups that way. His B attack (the fireball) is the strongest in the game (meaning it does the most damage, I still think Dr. Mario’s pills are the best projectile in the game), so abuse it if you have the chance.
His killing options are Upsmash, Fowardsmash, Fowardair and the fireball.
Might have missed a couple of things, I don’t play him often.
Mewtwo’s upsmash is more of a comboing tool than a viable finisher… I would say his tipped dsmash is a better KO move. Fireball leaves you vulnerable, fair has no range, and fsmash is … slow and not really worth it. Don’t forget that Mewtwo has the most powerful throws in the game; you can easily KO floaties with upthrow. Backthrow is also very powerful, though easily DI’d. Dthrow can chain sometimes.
Mewtwo shines in his edge-gaurding and short combos. The bair has a good deal of range, and his recovery is already superb, so don’t be afraid to go relatively far out to edge-gaurd someone. Also, you can edge-gaurd with the charging part of his Shadow Ball. If they get caught up in it, they’ll try to DI towards the center of the stage (which is where you’re facing), and as soon as they’re clear of the small shocks they’re open and just in the right spot to get hit with that shadow ball you’ve been charging ^_^;
As far as combos, dtilt will be your main starter. It has good range, is very quick, and the trajectory is good for a bunch of things. You can quickly dash in and cancel the dash with an usmash, and most characters will be caught by this. Otherwise, a djc’d fair is also good, but you can also sometimes follow it up with a djc’d uair or a normal utilt and continue from there. Grabs can be used too, just depends on damage.
If you want to play the runaway game, you can use your teleport right out of your shield. So if an opponent’s attack connects with your shield, you can teleport away and continue running. Also, uthrow and fair will probably be your main kill moves, so learn the spacing for them especially. Also, a djc’d bair will always come out, no matter how fast you djc, so make good use of its range to keep opponents off you. Nair is a good combo stopper.
And that’s about all I’ve got. M2’s one of my worst chars, but I still know a thing or two about what to do ^_^;
I’m very close to finishing the long-awaited “Perfect Control” video. Look forward to it on Monday or Teusday.
Awesome. I’ve been waiting ever since SDM’s preview :tup:
Does anyone know who the best Captain Falcon (as well as other characters) is?
CF: Isai
Marth: Ken
Samus: Wes
Sheik: Probably Azen
Peach: Azen again
That’s really all I’m fairly certain about, the rest is debatable of Syn can tell you.
Azen does not have the best Peach. If you went by the most recent tournament placements, Sastopher from Washington would have the best Peach, but I believe that Vidjogamer, Mike G, and KrazyJones are still very viable for the title as well.
I say Mike G without a doubt. He just seems to know the character better than other Peach players regardless of how much his placings fluctuate compared to them.

Yo.
Can anyone host some tournament vids of the top players?
