I made the same choice you did, but because my Shepard is pretty much the Team Mom of Team Moms and I went full Paragon, my choice wasn’t so catastrophic. (Hell, my Shepard only took one Renegade interrupt her entire life, and it was the most satisfying thing ever.)
Then I tend to play wrong, because I play infiltrator, and I go Kasumi on bitches with a shotgun. Though, I will say that the most success I had was playing with a group and watching a guy’s back who was sniping with a Carnifex. I kept everyone off him with my shotgun, stickies, and cloak while he did the brunt of the actual damage dealing. So you may be right.
One time whole team was down and it was just me and this human infiltrator (I was a max level Asari Adept Sniper) we went around the whole map moving together picking off enemies 1 by 1. I would freeze them with Stasis she would take a headshot then I would take a headshot, we both had Mantis sniper rifles so it was pretty damn efficient. We eventually won all 11 rounds of Silver and it was pretty cool. Stasis is also great for placing on a team mate if you have the Bubble-Stasis upgrade (which is far better than the other Stasis upgrade) if you place them on a team mate if their down they can’t be stomped on. Unfortunately this means i usually play with the Viper/Mantis alone because I like to have my Power recharge in the 100%+ area. I prefer the M-13 Raptor though as my favorite sniper. Though the Black Widow, Javelin and Mantis are close seconds.
Once I got the Raptor in the the story, I didn’t switch my sniper again. Story Shep is a soldier, so I had the Raptor, Mattock, and Carnifex. But I’ll probably use the Raptor and the shotgun pistol for multiplayer once I get them. I’m not sure how I’ll max out my MP infiltrator, though.
So I’m looking for a specific song and FUCK THOSE ASSHOLES WHO PUT SPOILERS ON SONG TITLES!!
Anyway, I’m wondering what’s the song that plays on the very first mission right before you leave Earth where you fight a group of monsters.
Wondering what battle song was used there? It’s played a few times during the Mars mission too (I don’t know how to be more specific, sorrie).
IMO, I think Salarian engineer might be the best engineer. The decoy is a better tank and cc than the drone, because I can seem to get Banshees, Brutes, pyros, primes, and hunters, you name it attacking the decoy if you put it in front of them, before they get too close. Enemies like the phantom ignore the drone but are willing to smack the decoy. If you put the decoy in the middle of a door way, and a big enemy like a banshee/brute/atlas can’t walk around it too, they attack the decoy. Even if you only have 1000 shields on the damn thing it still lasts longer than you would getting shot, plus you probably have a 2 second cd on it anyways. You don’t need to max it so you actually can max energy drain (Basically 1 shot shields and barriers like overload but get shields back) and incinerate (armor is the toughest defense to punch through in the game imo and the toughest enemies all have it). The only other class besides vanguard to get their shield back in an instant and still make tech explosions is pretty awesome.
They also play good support and are great at objectives if you know how to decoy and keep yourself alive using energy drain.
Salarian Inf is the best overall class in the game and you should use either the Black Widow or Mantis. Mantis is better then the Widow for MP. You do not get the ridiculous weight the Widow has and you can get almost the same damage once you get some power ups. Salarian is by far the best revive class to with Tac Cloak revives.
Yea salarians are beastly no matter if they are infil or engineers. But Human infils are pretty ridiculous that I actually think they might be better offensively on stronger targets. My brother was trying a weird build because I already made the common sticky grenade + cloak human infil. So he maxed cryo blast. He could take a shot then do cryo blast before the animation of cloak ended and the cooldown would be of the cloak. Which meant his next freaking shot on someone like a Brute or Banshee hurt like hell. Plus it gives the infil a lot of cc of weaker enemies, since aoe is probably their biggest weakness (sticky grenades you only get like 1 a round and energy drain is godlike but doesn’t do jack on health but at least staggers them for like 2 seconds). Since you can’t really kill stuff on gold with one shot, the cryo blast followup is easy picking on mid tier enemies like marauders and centurions, though I think Salarians basically specialize in take those guys out. Cryo blast is underrated because it helps your team kill easier since it weakens defenses, slows/freezes and sets up tech bursts.
No Human Inf are not better in anyway. All you have to do with Salarian is Cloak, Energy Drain if they have any shields/barriers then you kill 60 percent of the shit with a regular shot while cloaked and everything else that does not have armor died with 1 headshot. Salarian Inf you get a total of +50 weight to Sniper rifles and a +20 to headshot and +40 to damage. Salarian Inf even on Gold kills everything that doesn’t have armor in one shot.
The thing is (and this is something Reth stole off me and won’t admit it >>) with Salarian Inf you can cloak and if you are fast enough can use your Energy Drain then shot them for the kill, without your cloak coming off.
Yea that’s what I said. Stuff like Marauders and centurions die to salarians in one cloak because of the combo, hence why I said they specialize in killing them the best. But something like brutes and banshees actually die from cryo blast + sniper + cloak faster than energy drain + sniper +cloak. The armor part is the hardest thing to get rid of on the toughest enemies.
the classes i listed are based on overall effectiveness on gold and are all good at assist and dealing damage.the class that i put at the top the infil is the best class for objectives and reviving.
for the drell adept reave stuns and sets up a biotic combo for anyone on the team who has biotics.cluster grenades for the enemies in groups and the ones that are problems like the banshees, brutes, ect.their mobility lets you quickly get in to revive,do objectives, ect and get out.me and jae 2 maned reapers on silver because of how quickly we could take out enemies due to the aoe damage from the biotic combos.
The multiplayer is quite a bit more fun than I was expecting. Started with a human adept just because singularity seemed pretty useful and I wanted to try something different. Used all the credits I got to get a spec pack and it unlocked salarian infil so I might give that a try.
Asari Adept are just fairly worthless against Geth, that is really their only problem. They maul Cerberus though, just straight maul.
lol you’re one of the reasons i still haven’t finished single player. every time i get an invite to play mp i’m like ‘fuck, i’m never going to beat this game’
you guys gonna be on tonight? i want to run some reapers on gold.
i told him to forget out it and get back to work…too harsh?
Lies I was running Inf and doing that shit when you were still trying to battle an Atlas with your Vanguard, nucca what. I will not be on tonight, got too much to do at work.
i have no gold class really. not for reapers.
Bioware, make the right decision. HOLD THE LINE! It looks like Bioware is actually considering it, they went so far to make an official statement at least they have the dignity to respect their fans. They at least acknowledge a good number of fans are not happy about the ending (Neither am I)
Warp and stasis are about the only thing Asari Adepts have on the Geth. I was playing as an Adept in SP and I hated fighting the geth espisically freaking rocket troopers.
