3 Green Bars: World Warriors Street Fighter Travel Doco
Hey Guys.

So the trailer for my Street Fighter travel doco is finally here:

Here’s the Blurb:
I’m CptMunta
A Street Fighter player and tournament organiser from New Zealand
This is the trailer for the my upcoming youtube video series, getting an inside look at Street Fighter communities around the world.

I was going on holiday with my wife and baby daughter and was going to be with out my console arcade stick and copy of SSF4 so I decided to get in touch with some of the Street Fighting locals in each country we were visiting, get some games in and learn more about each scene. After I saw how many people got back to me I decided to create this insiders guide to playing street fighter around the world. Like a world warrior even

My goals were to get some inside knowledge on how each country built their scene, what playstyles are common in that country and how the Renaissance in Fighting games have affected each scene.

I went to local weekly meetups, ranbats, people’s houses, arcades and even major tournaments to get an inside look as to what keeps these communities growing. I shot it all on my crappy cybershot digital camera. I got lots of interviews with some great people who are doing their best to contribute to their local scenes.

Fighting game scenes featured in this documentary include:

Hamburg
Berlin
Amsterdam/and most of Holland
London
Tokyo
New Zealand

Part 1 should be up sometime next month. This is just a taster of what will be on offer over the next few months. Hope you guys enjoy

I’ve just started editing the Hamburg and Berlin segments. Not as much match footage as there is talking but that’s kind what I was going for anyway. Thought I’d post it here since I got alot of help and insight from reading it. Thanks for your interview Final Round Japan’s: Bull, you made it into the trailer with the Daigo raging demoning the Evo 2010 story ;D Sorry it didn’t work out catching up with Scott and hfz69 but thanks for the offers

Cheers Guys

CptMunta

P.S: Hollands “Dutchnoobz tourney” here’s an interview with those guys:

@Munta: Good Work!
But I’m really pissed off at that Hooters vid!

For those of you who know me and live in Tokyo:

We are having our normal jiu jitsu Sunday afternoon gaijin training session in Nishi waseda this Sunday the 7th.

Hit me up if you wanna join in. See you there Scott. :china:

RE:Hooters

The dancing thing was wtf… but I’m still willing to check it out

The Hooters video was amusing and embarrassing in equal measure. They don’t always dance like that, do they?

scott whats up with some proxy =/

So I arrived in Kyoto yesterday, will probably go to a ranbat@a-cho today.

Also found out my xbox 360 european power brick won’t cut it here; now I need to find out if I can fix that with a converter…Getting a new brick might be sucky…

First time I’ve got a piece of equipment here that won’t work with a simple travel connector :frowning:

Send me an order, some people have already started to hit me up. I’m thinking about setting up a pre-order account.

Hey guys, I think this question would be better off in another board, but I don’t want any sort of contact with sheepish j-rock fangirls.
Anyways, what do you guys suggest for Japanese rock/pop bands/songs that sound good with just two acoustics and a singer?

Yuzu and Kobukuro pop into my mind when it comes to acoustic duos.

I take it you plan on playing these songs, right? A good song for two acoustics and a singer is “Ame to Namida” by Yuzu. If you have a piano handy as well, then “Sakura” by Naotaro Moriyama and Yutaka Ozaki’s “I Love You” are also cracking songs.

Joysticks for sale

Hey guys, I’m not really known to many of you guys, but the few that do I’m sure can vouch for me.

Anyway, due to a hand injury, I had to stop playing SSF4, so I guess the only thing I can do is sell my gear.

Postage is free. All in excellent condition because I use my Madcatz TE only. The joysticks I’m seling were used by friends coming over to play, which was a rare thing (Azrael can confirm this). Even the boxes look brand new since I’m a bit of a neat freak.

PS3:

  • Hori RAP Amazon Limited Edition Color joystick, modded with Sanwa buttons. Comes with all original buttons. 7000yen or best offer.

  • Hori RAP v3.SA 9000yen or best offer.

X360:

I’ll put them up on Yahoo Auctions next week if no one is interested.

Like I said on Facebook:
