Up to you, I would def not hold it against you if you decided to cancel, because the fact that whether I can show up or not is based on rain is utterly ridiculous.
Like, if the gathering is up to me showing up, then it might be best to just say “screw it”, because I don’t want you to potentially ruin plans that you could have made because you threw a gathering that I couldn’t even show up to. If you want to wait until Sat morning to decide, that’s up to you, and I’ll show up for sure if it doesn’t rain, but if you decide not to, I wouldn’t be crushed, since I’m kinda the one to blame for this whole mess anyways. Ugh.
I’m thinking its better to just go for another day.
Its not anyone’s fault in particular, it just seems like the schedule isn’t really working out in general. Rather than force it, its better to do it when everyone is around and doesn’t have to worry about other stuff.
No biggie, we’ll just see what’s available in October.
The one that hit last month off the south coast was 7.1. Kobe’s one in '95 was a 7.2. There has been a lot more preparation and actual proper regular training to respond to major quakes. So I’m not worried, simply because I can’t do anything to stop it - if it will happen it will happen. Just make sure you get laid this weekend and make up a backpack with water, calorie mate, radio, etc even if just for peace of mind…
Ahh, I should’ve guessed as much. Good to know I won’t have to learn yet another sunset of the Japanese language to try and understand their youth. Their ungrateful, ignorant youth(just like the US, it seems).
Speaking of earthquakes, though, doesn’t Japan have some of the most advanced measures in the world to deal with that sort of thing? I’ve been reading the Gov’t has been trying to reach out to their foreigners in some areas to try and get them for the the bigger ones decide to come by and say hello
Does anyone know if the Gundam on Odaiba is still up? I heard it was supposed to be taken down on the 31st, but my friend told me she read somewhere it was still up. I’ll be in Tokyo tomorrow and just wanted to save a trip if I don’t need to go.

Well, they didn’t cancel the sports festival, but it ended up raining and now im wet and freezing in the staff room. At least my sunday plans aren’t fucked…
Edit: just kidding, they ended up cancelling the 2nd half and said they’re continuing tomorrow.
If we do the enkai tonite, and i end up getting monday and tuesday off, that would actually be pretty sweet. Of course, this is Japan, and that’s def not gonna happen.
Fat chance. You’re gonna go back to school on Tuesday.
At least you don’t have to come 6 days a week and doing overtime because of a speech contest. I’m on my last legs and I am begging for this speech contest to pass.
can’t make it cuz I’ll be at a work function starting at 5pm but if you guys are doing anything after I can probably make it.
edit: there’s an a-cho SF4 team tourney at 2pm on the 19th… I can probably go to that for an hour or so and then take the train back down to my work function.
