those things would not add a win button. they would just make bison not so one dimensional. the HS would just not be beaten at the dumbest times but would pretty much work the same and the basic avoidance tools would be the same.
fixing block stun on jump ins would simple make it so he would not have to worry about the other character having the advantage just because he landed shallow. it just means if he landed a jump in or even if blocked the block string or combo would be inevitable.
the PC goes without saying and if you can’t see how useless it is then your just being an idiot. all that is needed is the ability to punish people who just jump away the whole game because SK won’t reach. remember bison has horrid anti-air at close range so he will still be weak in that regard. currently you can rush him down and put him at a disadvantage when you run away. that makes no sense.
giving him a better way to land his ultra but nothing to strong is a far cry from what other characters already have. j.mp is trash because of it’s weak priority and limited circumstances for it’s use unlike many other characters who have great setups. giving him one that is a bit better just evens things out.
improving the telaport so it can actually be used except for the risky time of evading a crossup is not bad either. it would not be doing anything special just making it do what it is suppose to do. frankly this I think is at the bottom of the list though because fixing his offense is what is needed to make him more versatile.
making his links a bit easier while this is not essential to winning I only bring it up because of how easy it is with a character like ken who is also offensive. I can do c.lk, s.mp, c.mk, tatsu very easy. on bison the link c.mk is the hardest thing. oddly the SK is not. but making that link a bit easier will make doing both easier for anyone with that issue.
what are peoples thoughts on a fake PC? Maybe get the hands glowing, and lean like you’re about to throw it, but not. That way you could force the opponent to jump, and that would be a better way to setup ultra.
it would still be a guessing game though, and would possibly make PC better as well.
Both of those are very punishable, even from full screen distance. I’m thinking something along the lines of Abel’s falling sky or Blanka’s electricity: quicker way of building meter without having to worry about getting ultra’d.
Depending on how toned up everything is going to be in comparison to vanilla SF4, I want something like a Super Psycho Shot.

after playing today and getting completely wrecked by a sagat and a seth, i’m going to say this very biased and anger-filled proposal
keep bison the same, just sean nerf sagat, seth, zangief, ryu, ken, akuma, boxer, …,guile, and yes, vega too.
sorry guys i’m just venting, but sagat seth and gief should really be nerfed one way or another, but sagat’s got it the worst for having the MOST skewered nonsense of a risk/reward ever
what? Seth doesn’t need nerfing, you just don’t know the matchup that well. The fact that you’re listing half the cast is showing me (and some others) that you’re not playing Bison properly.
Bison goes even with Seth. At least that’s my opinion. I’ve played against both Arturo and Josh The Funk Doc’s Seths. It’s not that hard of a matchup. He can’t jump reckless against Bison.
Pretty much, you don’t know the matchup. Jim is correct.
NERF Guile and Vega? That’s ridiculous. Outside of a bison pov, Guile and Vega suck hard in SF4. Guile might be a problem for Bison but overall he’s already nerfed as it is with two specials (one serving as a laughable anti-air with horrible recovery) and a difficult ultra input. Vega can be dizzied so quickly in the corner its not even funny, not to mention his ultra input on top of all this.
I think the only people who need to be nerfed is Sagat and Zangief. They can keep their moveset just reduce their damage output. Their HP is ridiculous compared to their damage output. Low damage output = high HP. High damage output = low HP. Seth is perfectly balanced in this sense. He can stun you in two combos but you can KILL him with a few of Bison’s roundhouses. it’s a good balance imo and you need to have that sort of situation for Sagat and Gief, two other high damage/stun chars with way too much health. Bison’s health to damage output is actually pretty good in my opinion. If they wanted to make his damage output stronger I would say that a slight reduction in HP would be good so as to over-emphasize his offensive side for the better.
i literally lol’d…maybe PSYCHO PUNISHER will do the trick! I don’t give a rats ass about anything regarding superSFIV except seeing the little guys get a boost, including guile, vega, and especially my main. That and netcode and new online vs. modes. It’d be really fun to have a two teams of dictators square off while observing the matches when you’re on the bench. It’d be such a fun way of giving each other pointers on the spot.
I don’t really care about new characters or bonus stages or extra ultras. I just want to see how they’ve improved on what already exists in SF4, ie balance issues, a gameplay system that discourages and severely punishes scrubbery, and making online worth playing.
Scrubbery and netcode are my main wishes because imo Bison is at a disadvantage imo against scrub shotos + lag. Not only that my only competition is a 40 dollar round trip. It’s more like a treat for me to go to the arcades so it’s really a tough option for me.
does NOBODY know what an anger filled vent fest is? i put guile and vega there JUST to sound ridiculous. i’m sad that none of you guys even got that from the beginning of my message
dont be sad, im sorry i didnt get your anger filled vent. i understand the anger, but i didnt really get the joke, it wasnt exactly obvious. all hail psycho power!
