Ok. Full stop. I keep seeing this word and it makes no sense to me.
If you have to actually Grind with a full team of 6, one of two things happened.
Devs fucked up the level curve, or you fucked up by not battling every trainer available.
This is not something that should happen at all.
Now, I do recognize that some games on the franchise did screw that up, especially GSC. But two wrongs don’t make a right.
Forcing the Exp. Share as SwSh did is not a good idea. Every mainline game before SwSh (I consider LGPE a spinoff) had the option, the freedom of me saying “Nah, I’m good. I wanna use my mons however I please.”
Yep. A game that literally won its popularity by trash normie memes.
Worst part? It’s about as good as a rep it gets for the current generation of gamers.
We’re getting some asshole from Fortnite next time Sakurai decides to appeal to kids.
This whole ass industry is going downhill fast.
This post was brought to you by the Boomer Gang. “At least we had good games.”
Personal note: Steve doesn’t bother me cause I’ve been mentally prepared for it for a while. He’s been all but confirmed as a dlc fighter since the first character pass was announced.
Minecraft is one of the most popular games on the planet. It was going to happen sooner or later. Is it disappointing? Sure. To old bodies like us. In the bigger picture thought it’s a great marketing tool for Minecraft and Nintendo
Legos are expensive as fuck on the real. Pity the parents or guardians of small kids that play with them and have to pay for it only for the kids to leave it thrown all about under their feet and ask for more.
Believe it or not I don’t hate Minecraft. Nothing against it. In fact from the studd I watches and the amount of creativity I’ve seen pour forth from players it actually looks like a fun game to me. Game is just anywhere near a buy for me though with everything else out there. That being said my disappointment comes from this…‘character’ being picked out of near plethora of other characters with far more legacy than Steve. When Sakurai said that all the character were already chosen by Ninty, I feel like this was what he was trying to warn us about cause this def feels like a corporate Ninty decision more than anything. Like Stu said this is a no brainer marketing decision no doubt and I completely get it and admit the sea of salt out there I do see some people actually happy for this…good for them. I’m just glad they were smart enough this time to not put this char last cause maaaaan…
