Beat first Bowser encounter. I’ve acclimated to the controls quite well. Despite the camera being janky at times, I find the movement super responsive. In fact, I think I’m moving around way better than I ever did when playing before. Especially with wall kicks. Got that shit on lock. Forgot how fun it is to jump and dive and roll and keep the momentum going. And nobody else could pull off controls this tight for 3D platforming back in the day.
I’m gonna play them all in order, and then I might venture back into Odyssey for giggles and shits because that game is fucking rad.
My best friend back home is playing Sunshine for the first time just like I am. However while I’ve watched let’s plays of the game, he’s going into the game completely blind on multiple fronts as he’s never played Sunshine or a 3D Mario game.
So He just got to his first pachinko board about 15 minutes ago. He’s been sending me a bunch of videos showing all the various bullshit ways he’s been dying as well as very long rants about how much he hates it.
I got my nephew a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars that I plan to give him for Christmas. Galaxy is the only game in the collection he’s played. Considering he’s had no problem going back and playing the original 2D Super Mario titles, I think he’ll do fine. Since he’ll be going into Mario 64 blind, he doesn’t know about the piano.
I find it funny that artwork Nintendo went with for the Sunshine soundtrack is the very same artwork I would use to tag my song files for Sunshine music.
Hahaha I was thinking that myself and I only got through the first 3 levels. I was 14 though so not too young. But like if my 5 year old wants to do stuff he is going to struggle. He needs to finish learning how to read first though lol.
For sure mario 64 takes me back to 97. At the time I thought mario 64 was a RPG because the last mario game was super mario RPG lol. I asked my friend in 5th grade how far he got and stuff expecting a rpg story progression. Wasn’t til I got to my cousins house that I got to mess with the game and it blew my mind. Game is basically still new to me as I only played a handful of the worlds.
And this was a time when the internet wasn’t readily available and moms wasn’t buying no strategy guides, had to figure it all out on my own. I remember the last Bowser level being a bitch too🤦🏾♂️
I think the only thing I ever had trouble with in Mario 64 was the wall kicking. For whatever reason that was so frustratingly hard for me. Same with the Wing Cap.
There may be more seeing as I was 10 when it came out but those are the two things that immediately stick out.
All the licensed Musou’s like One Piece and Gundam as well as musou’s from competitors like Sengoku Basara from Capcom are fucking great.
Hyrule Warriors was my favorite game on the Wii U are probably top 15 or so favorite games of all time. They did a great job of making Musou feel right a home in the Zelda-verse.
It’s why I’ve bought it three times and why I’m so hype for the sequel prequel
No…no they arent. I’ve tried…i really have lol. I hate them all lol. Don’t even like the Fate/Extra Musou I bought and I love Fate.
Yea Gasa was telling me all the spinoff Musou games are better then the mainline so I have my fingers crossed for this once since I’m gonna try and day 1 it. Gonna be tougj, Nov is stacked. Even if I buy it I probably won’t play right away, too busy with Cyberpunk.
Yea I like that it looks like BOTW. Honestly the BOTW connections are the real reason I am interested in this game
Yea I hear you. Not tryin to hurt no one but I’ve tried so many of these Musou games and I’m always disappointed. I’ve played too many high quality action games I end up wanting stuff that isn’t fodder to fight, and more robust and useful movesets, and I hate babysitting my squads who can’t hold ground for fucks sake!!!
Lmao, I’m gonna give Age a real honest shot and try to push past my biases. Will be tough, but anything worth doing is so that’s no excuse heh.
