I hate the joy-cons. They are too small and the egomaniacs are horrid. I brought the Hori Split Pro so I can comfortably play my switch in handheld mode. I wish it had the other features of the Joy-cons so I can throw them in the bin but using them in handheld mode is my biggest issue the Hori Split Pro fixes that.

I echo Stu sentiments about the Power A controllers. My brother in law brought like 3 of them and they are fucking trash. They feel like fisher price toys. Two of those controllers broke down for him after just one year. Crap all round.

that’s another thing with the main/official pro controller—reliability… I forgot when I got it but it was quite a long time ago, and there has never been a single problem with it in all this time. (*I could say the same for the XB1 controller tho; I’m actually still on the default one that came with the system which was about 5 years ago when I got it…and no problems.) It would be great if more devices were that reliable.

It would be cool if Bloodlines 2 had a Switch version as well, but chances are probably low for that…and from playing Vampyr again lately, it would be nice if VtM:B2 was designed more like that, with 3rd person perspective. I will always prefer it when games let me see my character at all times.

My Pro Controller still works great, too. But the D pad is garbage and I can’t play Mario with it.

Which 8bitdo do you have? The SNES replica or the SNES replica with the “handles”?

the OG gameboy color of the SN30 Pro+ is one of my all time favorite controllers. It’s absolutely uncanny how much detail 8BitDo put into the controller.

I use the d-pad on the joycons. Playing Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, Cuphead and Lightening Force/Thunder Force 4.

I still haven’t used a pro, but wanted to check one out. Looks like it’s better to go with 8bit do?

I know the early Pro Controllers have issues with false presses on the D pad. Makes playing Mario tough when you don’t mean to crouch or can’t jump up into a pipe, etc. Fucks with the flow of the game.

I’m not positive, but I’ve read somewhere that it’s not as bad anymore. I can vouch for 8BitDo. It’s got a great D pad. And its super comfy. The face buttons don’t feel quite as premium as the Pro Controller, but they’re very good.

How’s the dpad on those? That’s even more important than the stick for me really since I prefer to use the pad for Tetris and fighting games most of the time.

It’s ok. I get ups and downs on accident from time to time. See it mostly in menus and when playing shmups. Might be too much for good Tetris play.

You know, possibly the best dpad I ever played on was this cheapass $10 Logitech USB pad that I still have. It was comfortable, I never got inputs that I didn’t want, and it worked well for fighting games. Thing didn’t even have analog sticks.

Finished Infamous 2nd Son, got Laura fine ass her CPT Costume (BLESS IDOM) and done most of the MHW: Iceborne festivals events…(PS4 account may need some stuff but I’m moving on to PC)

Take your time and learn how to control your legion. Your basically controlling 1.5 characters in this game, you’ll see way bigger gains if you can put your Legion where you want it when you want it. Also take the time to learn everything your Legion can do. It will learn more over time through the skill trees, but the basic move sets for each are generally pretty good and worth learning.

Axe Legion is a fucking boss.

Get used to throwing out your legion. Just kick back an watch it fight, looking out for attacks on the mc. This will get you used to it so you can do the follow up moves easier, without feeling ‘chaotic’. Holding L while pressing R, is going to be th move you use the most. It think it’s that? It’s the chain yank move .

You’ll move around a lot faster before getting the dog.

Get used to L button as well to go in and out of the combined Legion mode. You’ll use this most with the dog and fisticuffs brawler, but again, once you get used to it and it’s secondary attacks it makes pretty cool.

I’m not feeling Astral Chain. I’m going to keep trying and focus more on it.
I just hope to get better weapons for my human character, and start unlocking the skills to make my Legion better.

Your human won’t get any new weapons. The transforming Baton is it. Majority of the upgrades go into your Legion.

Well Oki forgot you’ll get a heavy baton form a little later but otherwise it’s mostly just technique for your human.
