etrain odyssey is tedious with the cartography. Pretty challenging if you can get over that. Luminous suffers from wall of text which I can’t skip fast enough. Plus sometimes I can’t select the right square due to playing angle. Also asks you to confirm position after every turn and I can’t turn it off. Shit is like windows vista.

Still waiting for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2. What I hope that they do in this one (besides having online battles) is make each race unique. Maybe I didn’t play the first game long enough, but I don’t see the point in having several races when they can all get the same jobs. It just defeats the purpose a little.
Brain Age > BA2. Get BA2 if you want more Sudoku to mess with. The training games in BA2 didn’t have that “extra something” to get me hooked like BA1 did. I like the Sudoku in both though. So if you’re crazy into Sudoku, then get both.
- Square stated, at a press conference, that they won’t be doing online battles with this title and/or Front Mission. I still hope for something online from them also. If anyone can bring SRPGers a worthy online experience, it has to be them.

- Not quite. As for races, certain classes are allowed to be used by only one race, which was practically 25% or less percent of the classes in the original. Beserker sounds great for the new Seeq race there. Races add their own basic stats towards a class that cannot be achieved by another class, for instance: A veiran archer(as sexy as she is) will have a better AGL than a Hume archer and can abuse the Assassin class to improve this. If the Seeq race has the ability to become a Paladin class, he could be a walking killing machine if Bastard(Hopefully, SE won’t change this name. I like it) allows a higher critical stat and attack power. This could topple a hume Paladin, but if Yojimbo class gives an acc. bonus that surpasses an Archer, then you’d have a decent match-up.
Each race *is *unique in stats, classes, and growth.

Dunno how it’d play if they just leveled everyone off at 100 regardless of how far you are in SP… doesn’t leave much for variety other than your character equipment. Then again… it is a srpg and I don’t think any srpg did the online portion properly.

Utilizing FMVs for an TSRPG experience is quite the morsals. I believe that Shining Force 3 used a similar technique. ASH doesn’t sound too bad, site depending. The game layout looks good, also. And I’m feeling the grid system here. No complaints still.

Thanks for all the of the advice so far everyone. I’ll most likely pick up Etain Odyssey and Hoshigami Remix sometime this month. Glad I got some feedback on Luminous Arc as that was going to be the first title out of the lot I intended to pick up.
By the way, did anyone ever import Dokidoki Majo Saiban? If so how was that? Did it live up to it’s expectations? I originally had it on pre-order, but opted to invest my money in other things at the time, as of late though I’ve been really tempted to purchase it. So if I can get some input before I do so I’d appreciate it.

I was really hoping for online play too. As I see it there’s only two companies that could bring a worth while online SRPG, those two being Square-Enix and Nippon Ichi.
And speaking of Nippon Ichi, weren’t there rumors of a Disgaea title being in the works for the DS? Did that ever get layed to rest?

the reason why there are rumors going about Nippon Ichi making an SRPG for the ds was because their american branch, NISA sent a survey via email to some people asking for what handheld system(psp or ds) should Nippon Ichi make. but this was like a month or 2 ago and i think Nippon Ichi is still pumping out games for the psp.
