If you’re using m3 / r4 / g6, arm7 repack your worms to get it working.
I forgot that CrysChron has uhh either wifi or wfc; too bad US release isn’t until '08 lol.
edit - Worms is 4player wfc. Too good, I’ll post FC later

“Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (NDS, Square Enix): 9, 8, 9, 9” from famitsu. hmmm
Are you ready for a Soccer RPG from Level-5?
(and Professor Layton 2 screens)
More screens for Inazuma Eleven
Also, Legend of Kage 2 for DS.
brief existential crisis. just beat megaman zx (1) and i realized that now i don’t have any dope action games to play. there’s that zelda game but i fucking get tired playing it. i dunno maybe i should go further in it. also one more zelda for the gba i havent played but shit…what is coming out in the near future for ds that’s good?? no castlevania, nor megaman announced huh…
and crystal chronicles looks like shit to me frankly. fuck…no good games ftm…
Dude, that links to a picture of a woman in a dress holding a masquerade mask. Unless that IS a picture for Legend of Kage 2. The graphics are awesome!
if you’re talking about Minish cap then YOU SHOULD PLAY IT
cause it’s actually very good
And there’s supposed to be a Tales Of game coming out but i’m more excited about the PSP release cause it’s not 3-D… there’s ANOTHER remake of FFIV that gets the FFIII treatment…
buuuut other than that. You’re right, there aren’t that many games coming out for the DS up coming. Rune Factory: Harvest Moon is actually pretty good if you wanna give that a play. My PSP has been getting a lot more play from me recently.
…worms? Is it worth picking up?
Currently getting owned by Megaman ZX and Honeycomb.
…enjoying Sonic Rush and Glory Days.
nah i already played the SHIT out of minish cap. amazingly good game. just started fucking with infinite hourglass and it’s a good one. i’m enjoying it more now. starts out slow though.
versus addict, what part of zx are you getting owned at? i think that’s a pretty goddamn hard game comparatively. it’s also got like a million secrets, goddamn. did manage to get the ultimate armor though so i pretty much know my way around, holler at me.
I don’t like the online interface and the fc list; you see them as the #s, no way of renaming or knowing who is online.
Some matches last a life time, not fun when you’re across the map with bazookas and nades left. Might as well take a jump into the drink to get it over with.
Some people will girder themselves in, like a bootleg bunker. Lame!
Might just be me, but the gimmick of Brain Age has worn off with BA2 quicker than it did with BA1. I’m playing it just for the Sudoku now. I haven’t even checked my BA since the second day I got it.
…Currently my BA is 23.
The games in BA2 aren’t as good. The piano one is a complete waste and the audio word scramble / mix up shit isn’t great either.
Still has the best sudoku by far, even the standalone ones pale in comparison.
Yeah, I loved Brain Age 1 mainly for Sudoku. I never considered buying any other Sudoku games for the DS because for some reason, none of them have it as simple yet as complete as the one on Brain Age which is a MINI-GAME pretty much. I’m gonna get Brain Age 2 pretty much for Sudoku heh.
I’m so late…I’ve been playing picross for a while but now my attention is on Bleach 1. I finally watched all of the soul society arc so I understand everything that could have happened in the game so yeah heh. I like it…
I might just get Brain Age 2 just for the training, but Brain Age is still on the shelf, and amazingly, in Canada, for the exact same price as Brain Age 2. Which is the better buy? and no, Dr. K didn’t put me up to this.
hey YellowS4 i added you for Worms OW2. anyone else get this game??
my fc for worms is 438196758170
The fact that ZX Advent isn’t getting a domestic release until October when it has been out since the middle of summer in Japan makes me go . My DS has been getting no love lately.
Last week I tried to play the first Ouendan game again for the first time in months and I was disappointed to discover that Ouendan is not like riding a bike… you don’t retain the skill if you don’t keep playing it. Ready Steady Go on Cheer Girls rocked me for a solid hour before I could beat it again.
hmmm, im inclined to reccomend brain age 1. from what ive seen the singel player has the same amount of features and games and exact same idea. the only difference is different exercises, but seems like the best ideas were used up in the first.
i have it, FC is 429606351097
I just beat Hoshigami Remix. The ending was a bit confusing because Arc Systems/Aksys/Beehive, and Max Five used all the text DURING the game to explain everything else. They actually ran out of text. Still, it was a fun ride and I actually had to grind up just to beat this game, which was a first. This was a pain in the ass because the enemy was always stronger, by a few levels or stats, after Chapter 1 concludes. The game pushed the Towers of Trials pretty hard because of this. The magic system and the skillset system complicated matters even more, but this was actually a good challenge which added onto Hoshigami.
The interface was nothing DOS like, but a little bit of a challenge. It was simple enough to suffice the game. When you got into the stylus usage scheme, the battle map itself became a hassle. You would have to select tiles, that were not on-screen, by getting out the D-Pad to scroll to them, which was tedious. On a lighther note, the interface had used both screens to indicate the power or HP lost during an attack, including enemy attacks, which is what I had to give credit for. But what kind of DS game would this be without it?
Story-wise, the game felt rushed. Whatever it tried to finish with one character, Hoshigami lacked with about 2 or so others. Then came the text to explain the lack of video for the pre-thoughts for the world’s creation, character backgrounds and the like. There was just too much text. Not many in-game flash backs to explain them, either. If it did this, probably it’d merit to be a better game.
In short, Hoshigami Remix will never be a Tactics Ogre:KOL, but it’s definitely an worthy adversary for anyone into the genre. If anything, less text, more sorties that do not effect the story, would have done this game enough good to make it an even better rival for the new handheld step-brother from the Ogre Battle series. They were both published by Atlus, after all.
yeah, once you pla with people their name shows up (as they enter it), but the interfac does suck. as far as i know it doesnt tell you whos online and no chat in game sucks too.
Alright guys ever since the advent of Shoddy Battle (a D/P Pokemon battle simulator that’s online) I’ve kinda let my DS collect dust. With that said I’ve decided I don’t want to purchase anymore novelty games to my collection (like Bomberman Land Touch!) but rather games with actual depth to them (like Hotel Dusk: Room 215) with that said I’ve been seriously looking at the following:
I love 2D style RPG’s and was just wondering if anyone has any feedback concerning these titles. I saw Bear Ryoma’s post for Hoshigami (thanks for sharing), would anyone else like to add on to that? And maybe share some about the other titles mentioned above?
Also any other suggested titles or current releases? I’ve been so caught up in Shoddy and other, non-game related things that I don’t even know what’s out and good at the moment.
