Check your brightness setting. (Mainly this applies to R4) When I first got my R4 I noticed my DS would run out of juice every two hours, until I realized that the R4’s brightness setting is completely different from the setting I normally use on my DS.
fuck can’t wait til the end of october, so much DS gayness coming up
Fuckin’ Final Fantasy IV, man. Just like how I’ve played it time and time again, I stop right after the Dark Elf. The game just kind of grinds to a stop for me. I don’t know why. And I really want to beat this god damned game.
Fucking sweet. Any news on Fire Emblem coming stateside?
Anyone see this shit?

Is it legit?
…seriously.
IGN reported the same story, so I’d say it is legit.
They need to add bluetooth to the DS. I want wireless headphones damn it.
So, the way they tell you replace the skin files doesnt work.
They ALL say to name pics bckgrd_1, icons, ect, ect. It didnt work, so I looked in the skins, and saw that no pic had those filenames at all. In my R4, they are called, like c_file, desktop, ect.
I figured out how to change the post load pics, by comparing the original ones to the file name. But I cant tell what the name of the “game” media" “slot2” screen files should be. They got replaced with some Zelda crap, which I dont even have in the “skins”
Whats going on here?
It boots up to Zelda, then goes to Rihanna. I lose man point everytime that happens.
People have been talking about a substantial DS revision ever since the lite came out. I’ll believe it when I hear it from Nintendo.
Dragon Quest IV for the DS, a remake of Dragon Warrior IV from the NES. Now this is what a remake is supposed to be. They changed to many of the names, though. Still awesome. Kiryl with Kabuff for the win (still, yea those are the NEW names), double defense on your entire party for 4MP. Makes those corny double physical attacks by bosses far more tolerable.
Really? I found that in comparison to the FFIV remake, it was graphically and cinematically lacking, not to mention that it’s an almost straight port of the psx remake in 2001, and contains almost zero touch pad interaction.
…seriously.
Maybe I oversold it, and FFIV DS does shine a bit more but, it’s still good.
Oh yea…
“…seriously.”
I really dislike it when old games get remade and have touch functionality. Chrono Trigger on the DS with extra touch controls bothers me. Just let me play it like I did on the SNES.
I agree with this actually. Nintendo has a tendency to jerk themselves off to the touch controls of the DS(and the motion controls of the Wii), and it makes me an angry bitch. Why can’t all DS games be like pokeymans and give you the option?
Blame the company who made the game, not the console. Squeenix shoehorns tons of crap on their DS games which can be bothersome.
Well, I hate everything Square Enix has done, ever(except Final Fantasy X/X-2) so I don’t particularly care. TWEWY sounds cool though.
I’m glad to see fellow members praising Kirby Super Star Ultra. :bgrin:
@Guru; E. Honda isn’t fat; he’s just got a distended stomach.
I have never heard of fat being stored underneath muscle, which would be the only way he could be fat, if his usual depiction is anywhere near accurate.
I just bought a DS yesterday. Any must have games? I got Super Mario World, took it back old school for a little bit.
Brain Age looks addicting, any recommendations? I prefer 2-D games
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin are two fantastic 2D games. Probably the best on the system. Also: Contra 4. Bangai-O Spirits. Megaman ZX Advent.
