Thinking of picking up that **Commando: Steel Disaster **…even though its a Metal Slug ripoff, reviews said it was cool but too hard.
Still playing TWEWY every day…game is like crack.
I finally got a M3 Real last weekend! Now I can finally play the Phoenix Wright series, since I can’t seem to find the first game anywhere for sale.
So what imports should I be looking at? Besides Bleach DS 2 of course.
You do realize that Bleach 2 will be out in America pretty soon, right? Yes, folks: Bleach 2 comes out next month. I don’t have a DS fighter in my collection, so it’ll be this.
Try A.S.H. or Blue Dragon by Mistwalker. AWAY Dungeon should also be a trial by fire prospect. I highly recommend ASH, even though it doesn’t have a lick of English in it. ASH has done right so far, as an SRPG title, and is coming stateside, according to the ESRB leak earlier this year. The day of its’ release is still TBD.
I don’t think I’ve turned my DS on in over a month lol. Fuck.
I just DL’ed Sonic: The Dark brotherhood for my DS. So far so good, Sonic in an RPG game is kind of weird but the leveling system is very similiar to Star Wars KOTOR. Not a surprise though since it’s from Bioware. So far, so good though.
I have been using my DS almost exclusively as a Japanese dictionary as of late, lol. The new Kirby is really tempting though.
It’s out?!
man, i gotta recommend Kirby Superstar Ultra
i picked it up yesterday and well, finished it today, but i didnt put it down very long to say the least. Overall, they did a good overhaul of the original game, minus the sound being oddly quiet. Gameplay is as solid as Superstar, with tweaks of powers here and there.
The godly part of the game is the new games imo. Leaving the original bosses as they were, they made some pretty adrenaline rushing “new” bosses, making for excellently tense battles and so much satisfaction for beating them. HAL did good, very good.
and man, is the Hammer the best power in this damn game.
On torrents. search for the euro version.
Just got the new kirby game. I’ll post how I like it in a few. lol
nice, if its good ill import it
How?
Holy shit, Kumatan is awesome. I shouldn’t be getting so much fun out of this game.
Oh, right, Kirby Superstar Ultra is also really good too.
oh sweet kumatan came out
so did a new sim city game
sonic rpg
disgaea
kirby
good week for ds
YAR!!!
Whats some good “non-punk” games to get (d/l)
I just got Ferrari Challenge, Grid, Evoultion GT, Dragonball DS (havent played) and Force Unleashed, and Sonic.
Considering that I hate games that force stylus use, I liked TFU on the DS.
Also, if someone has a SVCChaos thats .bin files, PM me. I want to get NeoDS running, but my version of SVCC has .rom files, and cant be used. Horrible game, I know, but I’ve owned import a copy of BDS2 for like 6 months as my only fighting game.
Also, is there a CPS2 emu? Id MUCH rather play ST, XSF or MVC.
Anyone have any input as to whether Disgaea is better on DS or PSP?
^ I got Disgaea DS yesterday, but I haven’t touched it yet.
The Force Unleashed is fun, but I feel as if the game is a bit overbalanced. Starkiller, and the other guy you play as, replenish health too quickly for my liking. The control follows suit to more of a Call of Duty game than one of the other adventure games. The buttons control movement, while the Stylus controls the actions of the character(using the force and so on). These actions are displayed as a palette. The boss battles are well thought out so far, but I wouldn’t expect anything SW movie quality here. One point I despise is how the boss is able to finish off his force combination moves even if I hit him out of executing the move.
Just got an R4, so suddenly I have a massive back catalog of stuff to finish. Recent pickups: Bangai-O, Commando: Steel Disaster, Lock’s Quest, DQIV, Sonic Chronicles, Disgaea, Civ Rev, and Kirby Super Star Ultra.
Think the rest of my year is booked.
Hey, does the M3 Real eat up battery power? I swear ever since I got it I find that I have to charge the DS like 2-3 times as often.
Yes, all rom carts do go through battery faster. Also, if you’ve had your DS for a long time, the battery will not last as long. It’ll only charge up to like 70%. It’s happening to my DS right now, but I bought my lite during the launch. You gotta get a new one from the nintendo website.
