…yet that doesn’t make matchups like Lion vs Wolf any easier for Lion. Lion has to work SUPER HARD, and if he fucks up once or twice that’s the match. balanced game, yes, but it still has some terrible matchups.
Man, I need a little help against Lei Fei !!! I use wolf and it’s a little hard to get past Lei Fei’s constant combos !!! My friend just combos after combos into stance into combos. The only things working right now are 6,6,P+K and 3+P which stops him. But could anyone give me pointers on stopping the fast comboing bastard from hell with wolf ?
Just use 2p when he starts with the nonsense. If he is throwing out constant combos you will get a counter-hit. From there you get an almost 50/50 mixup because fuzzy is not possible at -7. If he’s just mashing this stuff out go straight into a launcher and combo for as much damage as possible.

Also, a lot of the time the key against nonstop strings from Lei is just to evade more. He definitely has some good half/full circular moves, but most beginners (who are the ones that tend to constantly attack) will stick with the linear options.
Yes ! That’s it… I was trying to figure it out on my own but I shall surely try that. He constantly attacks because he knows the second he blocks I get a hold move on him ( of which he said himself ). Tomorrow we are playing and I shall update you to tell you if it works. Thanks.

Yeah…sidestepping is to key to beating dumb mashers. Least offline any ways. Punish their stupid low sweeps with a good mid hit or move out of the way of it and punish.
I posted in the GG’s thread already but just letting everyone know I got this game (and DOA4 for the 2 people that care). Is there any way to use custom soundtracks in this game or DOA4? Can I still play online on my old Xbox if I migrate my account to the 360?

They must have really beefed her up or the tiers changed or something. I remember when the game first came out I heard people say that she wasn’t that good. Always heard about Shun, Jacky and Kage being some of the better characters.
You play online on 360? Don’t really matter since you’re not too far from me any ways. I don’t have any sticks for the 360 yet so unless you have one I’ll just be playing on the crap pad until I get one. Can you still buy VF sticks at a decent price online? I’ll probably end up opting to get a custom 360 stick but we’ll see. Wireless arcade stick sounds too cool.

lei has a LOT of gaps in his strings. 90% of his strings can be stopped after the first 2 punches with crouching punch. Sidestepping is great because unless he’s stance shifting, he doesn’t have any actual strings that are circular. You just have to watch for Bokutai stance while you’re sidestepping. Lei has great mids, but he doesn’t have many low options that do damage other than a sweep to set up wake up games, so you should rarely be blocking low unless he’s in Haishiki or Dokuritsu (:down: +kick from both are trouble) and suirakan for obvious reasons.
If he really isn’t good with switching stances or sabaki moves, you can basically win this match by sidestep, throw evade, guard. Since he only has one throw that doesn’t end in toward + punch+ guard, you only have to enter 2 throw escapes against him.
I haven’t tried online play yet but my internet connection kinda sucks so it probably won’t work well. I don’t like playing fighters online anyway though. I’m going to try and get a 360 to the next C3, should have a few players there to play it.
I’ve only got one stick wired for 360 right now but I’m probably going to wire up another sooner or later. I think you can still get the Hori 360 sticks pretty easily though, check google.
I just plugged in my Ipod and you can choose what songs from the playlist. If you don’t want to listen to the mp3 player just turn it off and the game music starts up again.
The 2nd ? I’m not too sure about it.
The only tier list released wasn’t even and official one, but Lei-Fei, Kage and Eileen were S class and Sarah and Lion were C class. Everyone else was A or B. Pepole say El Blaze in B is wrong but they don’t know shit either.

jacky is near bottom tier, but the game tiers don’t really matter all that much. They represent how easy it can be to get damage though.
What are the tiers by the way? I dont want to read every page to find them. Where does Jeffry rank?
I think I see. So basically the system turns off the game music and just plays your MP3s as if it were a music player? I was hoping there’d be some custimization like putting in new tracks for the different stages and stuff. That’s still cool tho.
