Jacky-related question: Is the iageri useful in situations other than combos? If so, how and when?
Yup. Gives you hella advantage, even on block. Against the wall it can lead to nice wall-staggers. It’s also good to bait moves too.
Followups to Iageri I’m finding really useful in terms of how often they work are:
1P
3P+K (P+G on hit)
Another Iageri lol
Or just throw/block depending on how your opponent is reacting.

I use to always do 6P+K, then down kick if they don’t tech roll (They almost never tech this).
9K+G, the double dragon kick or whatever, is a great option though. It’s universal and leads to good Oki options.
gl0ry85 pointed out to me that on some characters, you can also do 2P to relaunch them, and then 6PPK, or 6PP2K. I know this works on Vanessa, and I think Lion. But it’s definitely character specific.
Best rule of thumb would be, if in doubt, just do 9K+G.
EDIT: On Vanessa and others you can relaunch with 2P, you can also do 1P+KPP for the same damage as 6PPK.

works on sarah too, It’s a pretty safe thing to try on the light weights, but I wouldn’t try it on any weight class that is shun+

Yes, post the wolf knowledge. I need some please. I’m owning ass with him with the fast input giant swing and the :r: :k:+:g:, :r: :p:, :db::db: :p:+:g:+:k: but its real easy to get up after the stagger so I don’t get it often against the computer, mostly against other players who don’t see it coming.

Um, dumb question: is there any guide to costume unlockables anywhere? I hain’t seen one. I’ve got all of Sarah and 2/3 of Lion unlocked, but – it’d be interesting to know if there’s anything worthwhile. =P
The huge unlockable system in this game is dumb as hell. If you ever unlock 100% for everybody, what the hell are you doing with your life? :lol:
I think only the latest VF Brady Guide has a full list of items for characters for the 360 version.
I have the Brady Guide when the PS3 debuted; the 360 version has a lot more items available then the PS3 version so I don’t think that will help you much. I honestly don’t know if the orb items/match items are the same in each version.
Are you familiar with the Balloon trick? That will help you get secret items quicker.
I know tragic got 100% for someone. :wonder: He said if you do, any new character you make will start with max gold which lets you buy everything in their store.
