^^That’s really helpful, thanks dude.
Though I don’t care that much now (I only use akira) I’m sure some people would find individual character DLC videos useful when deciding to DL.

I got the pack yesterday, the extra content for Vanessa suck.
Been playing a lot of this game, it’s pretty fun but holy hell do I suck. Are Blaze/Eileen worth learning?
Still on dat Kage Maru stuff. He’s a lot of fun, but I don’t think I could beat very many people with where I’m at currently. Quest Mode gets tiring after a while when even the 9th and 10th Dan opponents aren’t that challenging.
Do you start to unlock more arcades once you hit a certain rank?
When you say you couldn’t beat many people do you mean online? Because yes you can if 9th-10th dans in quest mode offer no challenge for you.
I can only hang with 5-6th dans in quest mode anything higher becomes a damn challenge and I win online about maybe 15-20 percent of the time? So I would figure you would do better than I can. There are a lot of people that… Well I don’t mean to make this sound as if im good at the game or anything and all cause im not but they just don’t know how to play virtua fighter and play the game like it was doa4.
You can beat them easily.
Well, Unless you are playing quest mode on default or easy difficulty or something. But I have it set to hard I believe.
all of them are viable; play who you enjoy playing as, and not what some tier lists say. that’s the beauty of VF; the more time you invest into your character, the more you get out of it.
gravy. It shall be done. Btw I will be up for driving. When is the next time yall are throwing down?
That’s just part of it. While I don’t think VF is as incredibly difficult as some people make it out to be, it’s definitely gona beat you down at the start. Then once you understand the flow and basics, things will click and you’ll kinda wonder why you once had trouble with some stuff. That’s when it gets fun.
I’ve faced some online where they were 4th 5th and 6th Dans, I’ve beaten them when i was in the Kyu’s ( curently 2nd Dan) they seem to fall into that category of what you speak, but I’m not to clear on the DOA aspect (perhaps it’s because I’ve nevered played DOA online) but there are some in those rankings that are very good.
I’m still sucking. I’ve yet to click with one character really besides Big Jeff, and I feel he’s kind of limited in some aspects and feel like a cheeseball when I continually hit people with 3K -> 2K+G. I don’t really dig on too many of Jeff’s strings besides P, 6P, P+K+G -> then mix-up between the catch throw and the kick… fat ass 6K juggle/bounce combos with 43P+K. Everything else is like… just to not seem gay.
Through a P, K, P. Or a 2PK, K when I could’ve used a better mid string like 5K, P. But w/e.
I really like some characters aesthetically, but can’t play them for shit. It’s kinda sad.
It’s on the default setting, yeah, and I did mean online xD
I’ve basically stopped playing this game until I get my stick, I am so tired of jumping when I don’t mean to, or not getting the right move to come out when I need it to. One game, I went with a 4K+G, K with brad while my back was to a low wall, and I jumped over the damned wall and lost a round I was cleanly winning. But I’m getting the shakes from my withdrawal!
For me, with a block button, it’s going to take some doing getting adjusted to a stick. I’m so used to just pressing away from my opponent. I wonder how I’ll map the buttons…
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! I finally got my VF5 in yesterday. Played around with it all night on Quest. Got to Master rank in just one day (but that’s probably because I know how to play the computer from VF4:Evo). My mains are Goh, Sarah, Aoi, and Lau. I really love Sarah more than ever now. A few of her holes from long range were filled and she can keep her Flamingo pressure up much more now. Flamingo A+K,8/2 is my new joy. Been trying to use Step a bit more and figure out ways to integrate into it her offense.
I’ve just been using her old juggles off the sky rocket/divine cannon/33k. 33K, KP, 6PK against lights. 3PK, 8K. 2A+K counter, 1KK, 8K doesn’t seem to work on anybody anymore.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
But no matter how fast she is, I still get owned by Jacky’s mid/long ranged speed. Which means more trouble when I eventually play younger brother (he’s a heavy Jacky user).
GGs to everyone I played tonight.
just put in the time. it’ll pay off.
i used to play as Goh and Brad in VF4:EVO, but ever since El Blaze came out, i was sold on the luchadore.
I actually started on Jeff when I first got Vf5, since I played him alot on Vf2 and don’t laugh… Fighter Megamix. but I couldn’t punish, or evade for crap, and his moves felt too slow to poke, so I gave him up for Brad, and my game improved . but now that I have a better handle on the game system, whenever I do play with Jeff again, I enjoy him more. but not as much as I enjoy Brad.
Brad= Pimp!
I find Jeff the easiest to use character for me- but I’ve really got to learn some of his combos, if just to get Slide not to nag me into spending hours in Dojo mode like it’s GGXX.
I don’t learn that way. I learn shonen hero style, ramming my head with extreme manliness into the other guy’s fist until I pick it up how to win.
Any chance of this game picking up steam in arcades?
I can’t even find a decent arcade, much less one with Vf5 in it.
