I knew about short shoulder combos but I just couldnt get the screw lariat after the p. Yea I have no clue to alot of stuff that is punishable, but I try to setup people to crouch so I can pedigree them

When you smooth out your up close game to start adding fuzzy guard nitaku and evade nitaku youāll have even more fun with Wolf.
Sarah is a great character to practice against cause she is sort of a mix between the two character types in VF5, traditional moral characters and the non-traditional stance characters.
Goh is high B in a game where tiers donāt dictate much at all. Itās not nearly as bad as you might think lol.
Hey Granby, have you tried these combos with Sarah?
4K+G:
combo #1: P, G cancel, P, G cancel, 7K+G?
Or
combo #2: P, G cancel, 33K?
Thing about the Ps in combo #1 is that you gotta really watch, cause the timing is weird. And on combo #2, the 33K cannot be done immediately, youāve gotta delay it somewhat. And also, the damage seems to vary for whatever reason(could be the minor and major counter thing, but this should work on normal hit too), a couple of times I was able to get 59 off of combo #2. I forgot the damage on combo #1 Iāll check it later. Combo #2 has worked in either stance, Iāll check for combo #1 again later, I did this shit last night and didnāt type findings out.
These worked on Kage, so far, set to always tech etc.
Iāll try them against everyone else today.

Hi, in need of help after getting my ass handed to me ^^;;. Iām mainly looking for Vanessa and Sarah strats, but I might be dropping Sarah for Aoi. Dunno yet but some help with Vanessa would be great.
edit: Yeah Iām going to pick up Aoi before I re-learn Sarah. And what would the button layout be for a stick?
A- Pai, B- Aoi. Yup.
In SF stick layout terms, the button layout for VF would look like:
P(jab) K(strong)
G(short)
Just those three buttons.
For Combo #1 it is character dependent on weither you need to 1frame delay or not. For example against brad in te closed stance you donāt need to use a 1frame delay.
However the problem is the combo does less damage than P -> 2KK
This is because the two jabs move dmg revision to about 40% or so by the time the somersault comes out and that Sarahās somersault does significantly less damage than say Jacky or Kages.
The second combo is possible on most characters without a 1frame delay however I think you are seeing an effect of VF5ās āfalse techrollā system.
Basically say you are getting comboād but you are inputing techrolls at the wrong time (ex before you can actually techroll like during the last hit or so). The game punishes your lack of precision by awarding the opposing player with a higher damage revision (80% instead of 75-45%). This is why you see such high damage from jab -> dragon cannon.
If you want some interesting combos try:
P-> 66K+GK in open stance (vs. middle weights such as brad/akira/kage)
3PK>8K in open stance (vs. light weights such as Eileen, may need to put in some 1frame delay)
I myself am still searching for combos for Sarah cause she really needs every bit of damage she can get.

I know the San Antonio area has a few people, me being one of them. We have a thread in the match making section of VFDC trying to set something up, if you feel like driving a little then drop a line in that thread.
Also, I went looking for an Hori stick, even making my closest gamestop call other gamestops in the area, and no one had it. So I just ordered it on-line, I hope I get it by this weekend, so I can practice with the stick. Youād think a decent sized city like SA would have a stick, I remember seeing quite a few DOA4 sticks laying around, but now I canāt even get one VF4 stick?
Finally got online with this shit. Only had lag one match. Good job Sega.
Itās been a very humbling experience for me, but I finally think Iām starting to suck less than I did before. Hopefully I can keep this upward climb going.
