^ I wish they would lock VF into a time slot already. Time is nearing and I’m still apprehensive to buy a ticket. Willing to go for other games, but whether VF is legit there or not is a huge deciding factor. And there’s mention of wanting to use the PS3 version… ?
EDIT: Woa, scratch what I just said. Both time and cost were updated. Guess I’ll be getting my ticket soon.
i know how youre feeling. im not sure if its because of traffic, or if its the time im logging in, or just the players im running into… but i feel like a lotta games lately have had some critical frame loss. not every game, and not constantly, but enough to where it will break clutch moments.
quick getups after a knockdown are having me resort to just mashing as im falling. same with evades.
hopefully this game will gain enough momentum to persuade arcades to pick it up. or at least one arcade per region.
All up to you. I like decking my characters out too much not to go through Quest Mode though lol. Just wish we had access to all the items the arcades have already.
That depends if you want to make your character look “cool,” and then what your perception of “cool” is. For instance, if you liked a character in their plain default clothes, why go through the quest?
It’s not just clothing, though. You could get the same type of clothing in quest, but a different color – and little accessories like rings, shades, different hair styles, etc.
I use Goh’s default costume, just the “Healthy Glow” item to change his skin to a regular tone.
Which throw are you talking about? The 1P+G one? If so, I believe a 6+P is pretty much guaranteed (although I believe it is possible to shake it) off a wall hit for a crumple into whatever. Might be some other stuff you can do off a wall hit as well. Other than that I don’t think anything is guaranteed.
And yes, you can just ukemi the giant swing. Think it takes off something like 10 or 20 damage.
Nothing is guaranteed after Wolf’s exchange throw except on a wall hit. If Wolf is too close to the wall he won’t recover in time to do any big damage. Wolf’s best option is to throw them at a diagonal from two spaces from the wall, followup with 6p which causes back crumple then low back throw. Sick damage. :wgrin:
Just ukemi takes off 20 pts from his giant swings reducing them to 60/80 damage. You will take full damage if its a normal quick rise/tech roll.
It would be awesome if sega could incorporate some kind of Shenmue-style arcade environment for online rooms, where you could use points to buy things like little VF figures in those plastic capsules. You know what I’m talking about? Like there would be multiple arcades setup, just like in quest mode, one or two where ranked matches were, then casual play, an arcade for beginners, etc.
I dunno, just an idea. I need to just give up on Shenmue, dammit. I need to accept that it isn’t coming back.
BTW , found out that the game isn’t selling that well, only about 45,000 copies in the first week. I think some more hype is needed, or we may not ever get to see VF 5 Evo when that comes out.
