<<<<<< Brad scrub(I just started playing, so it was a random decision )
Fucking Akira’s. The one thing to drive me to an early insanity is a turtling low blocking akira. Any suggestions?

I really hope that we will eventually get DLC for VF5 for the new items. Some of them just look crazy nice.

Shun’s penis mask ftw.
Punish his low blocking ass with your mid hit options Brad has. Havn’t played him in ages, but I think toward P and down forward K are both quick mid options.
And yeah Falling, I seriously hope we get more items/ability to mix and match outfits. I’m fine I guess if we don’t, but I’d be so happy if we did lol. The new ones are out of control.
Is there a “push to talk” button for the mics on VF5 for the 360? I’m using the EX2 joystick, btw. If so, I’m a dumbass.
ITs funny because thats all I see and they think its just like DOA4, well they are playing a whole different ball game here.
Many tried to button mash, but they fail at it really bad. You don’t button mash in VF5.
I want to try out Goh and enhance my Vanessa skills.
Not for this game, nope. Mic is constantly on so long as it’s plugged in.
4K+G,k (needs a little distance)
6PK
3K
KP (need a little distance, but beats 2P)
2P+K6P, P, 46P+K (landing the first part is kinda risky but this drives them to a wall or edge)
Hey all, I just started playing VF5 yesterday, so far playing Akira and Wolf. I’m having lots of trouble with Wolf, it seems like I can never land his throws because lots of people are just throwing out tons of fast attacks. Eventually I just started hitting way more than throwing, but that’s no fun.
What do I do against wakeup attacks as Akira and Wolf? It seems like everyone has some move to deal with wakeup attacks, I just don’t know what Akira and Wolf’s are. Is it me, or is the opponent invulnerable for a LONG time while getting up? That’s really lame IMO.
damn, that sucks then…my buddy and i can’t communicate.
Has he tried his mic on his controllers too? It could be that his actual mic is busted.
Unfortunately, if they just keep attacking mindlessly, it is going to be tough to throw them. You might be able to sidestep and sneak in throws if you know their attack patterns. I don’t know Wolf at all, but basically you’re gona have to make them affraid to attack by destroying them with striking attacks until they start blocking lol. I think that rising shoulder he has is a great way to punish jabs, and you can net a lot of damage off of it.
I’ll let someone else explain countering getup attacks because I don’t know the specific rules and frames. I do know that it is possible to directly beat out getup attacks if you time an attack just right, and so long as the attack is above a certain amount of damage. I think it’s like 20 or 25 damage, a friend of mine (White Worm) says he thinks it’s 20. The timing is really strict though, so unless you are familiar with it/know when they’re attacking, it’s probably best to bait a getup attack, dash back, then punish them. I notice a lot of newer players just do getup attacks to get up each time, so it’s pretty much free damage if this is the case. Just let them wiff then do low throws, mids/overheads to punish as a general rule of thumb.
If no one else comes along to better explain that, I’ll look up the info for you later on.
Yeah, I’m a Jeffry player and you simply won’t be able to throw opponents who don’t stop attacking. This game forces you to use what the opponent gives you, so you must have a plan B.
he bought a 360 JUST for VF5; so everything is spanking new. go figure.
Anyone so far has a record worse than me ? I have
8 Wins - 57 Losses.
i played david sirlin’s jeffry.
that guy really knows how to block and punish.
So if I have to go through all this trouble just to not get attacked on wakeup, how is it even possible to have an okizeme game?
You’re a fucking idiot Mariodood. Rising attacks in VF are super punishable and do next to no damage. You can space them, you can block and punish, you can use attacks with a lot of hit frames to out-prioritize them and you can use moves with special properties to avoid them. Some characters have reversals that catch rising attacks, and there are a number of rising attacks that are half circular and linear. You can even jump over their body on the ground and punish their rising attack FROM BEHIND. Rising attacks are very high risk and low reward attacks that can only be used occasionally.
Got a new GT just for the month I’ll have VF5; GT is NOVLee. Add and challenge! (and eventually defeat)
I don’t have an X Box because I’m poor.
My friend does, his GT is ibow2no1.
He plays as Akira and Goh, if I’m there I’ll be playing a bad Jeffery and El Blaze.
My whole life is about hitting the HOT DOG. I’ll probably be there tomorrow, so I hope to fight some really good people and get destroyed.
We both suck though, but it’s all for fun. I need to get some bills and cop a 360 soon.
Everyone online is either Lei Fei, Kagemaru, Aoi or scrubby Akiras. I have yet to see a single El Blaze or Jeffry and except for myself, I’ve seen only 2 Jackys.
times like this i wish i had a 360+internet+vf5 at home:sad:
