My Craig is super ghetto and I don’t use VTS cancels in my combos (I can do them sometimes but I’m afraid of dropping and dying) but I can still tell you a bit of whatever you need to know. He’s easier to use on stick than pad anyway imo…
I went to that T-Mart just about every day for one reason or another. My roommate used to work at Big O’s and I used to live behind Cosmos so these places evoke purest nostalgia in my brain.
I’d say I miss my college years but what I really miss is the food and friends in Cookeville and those things are always within reach in Nashville.

Not really. The threat of well-placed tackles makes people do dumb shit. If they guess right they can break the tackle, but that doesn’t happen all the time. The thing that gets broken most is the actual mount itself by seeing which arm, or both, that he swings with. And, if they break either the tackle or the mount, so what? I believe it leaves you both at neutral. The one thing you don’t want to do is WHIFF a tackle because then you get killed. So it’s important to keep people within range of tackles, and be able to cancel out of corned beast or the other stance appropriately.
I had a MM 2 years old against a decent Craig from Cali. I had to learn the whole T6 Craig matchup by him putting me out of the tournament and the MM afterward. If he would’ve been less predictable and blocked lows, he could’ve beaten me. Also if Marcus and Gene wasn’t talking shit in his ear the whole time. Pardon my scrub combos and followups, they’ve obviously improved since then lol:

Scott Pilgrim, Shank, and a couple stellar other ones have dropped but I need something new. I haven’t played much Shank, but I played the SHIT out of Scott Pilgrim. Yeah, I sat down last night for a while going through his move list and trying to learn VTSc. I can see why you state that VTSc is easier on stick, I think I agree. It’s tricky but I think I can do his bnb juggle into B!, df+3, 1, 2, VTSc ff+1+2, given some practice. I can do the whole combo without the stance cancel by going directly into regular grabs from df+3, 1, 2, 3+4. It’s only gator slam or corkscrew, but the damage is still alright.
