When you get a chance, can you test SC5 with the hitbox? Just go into training, pick Pyrrha, and do qcf B. Do it fast, and press B at the exact same time as you press the forward direction in the qcf. If Pyrrha glows white, that means you’re doing the fastest input just frame. It’s supposed to be somewhat difficult on a stick, but I wanted to know how easy hitboxes make it.
I’m pretty sure no SC5 players use the hitbox though… lol

It shouldn’t be hard to make an update to classic beat em ups with the horsepower of today’s consoles. Just keep the original engine and mechanics intact and build on it. Make the combat deeper.
Basically, do this - go to Platinum Games, give Hideki Kamiya a copy of Streets of Rage 2 and say, “make a new one.” Boom. Soon-to-be-classic beat em up on the way.
I still wonder why there isnt a multiplayer “bayonetta style” beat em up…with Sega characters…sega can do it…and i’d buy 2 copies…
